Well by the sounds of things the lad doesn't even want a contract put infront of him by BL, they look to be losing Brennan to GC because of spending too much on Raines, Fev, Clarke, Maguire, Staker and Buchanon over last seasons trade period.

Rischitelli I believe is a VIC lad and wants to come back to Melbourne meaning WC with Pick 1 in PSD should stay away leading to us at Pick 2. Would be a big bonus to come out of the off-season if he comes to us for free...lets hope.

If he was available at pick two, we'd have to take him. I still believe we need another ruckman to support Gus and Browne, that way we can work on Vickery and Griffiths as support for Jack.

Agreed Tugga, he will win their B&F this year. PSD would be fantastic result for us concerning this bloke, but I can't help but think that may be wishful thinking. The lions know he's leaving and therefore will make sure they formulate a trade, even if they don't hold all of the cards. They will be desperate to receive some compensation for a player who will be recognised as their best this season. Shocking position for them going into trade negotiations.
With second pick in the PSD we would certainly hold a lot of bargaining power if we can convince Rischa to name us as one of his preferred destinations. Here's hoping.

Essendon are all over him like flies on stink. They desperately need to add some class to their midfield and Rischa supported them before going to Brisbane. I think we may have a battle convincing him to look elsewhere, but you'd hope we would make a decent attempt. Would be great to replace Cuz with a walk up start the calibre of Rischitelli.

Second that. Brisbane aren't in a strong position to do much at all. He could conceivably be got for Third Round pick or they risk him going in the PSD for nothing. Others Clubs won't want to totally screw Lions over but no way Voss gets anywhere near true value. I hope the footy dept is taking a close look at him. Add him and another young classy midfielder into the mix and that improves our midfield depth and talent immensely!

Hope we are working the phones.....

Vossy mortgaged the farm for success this season and has lost big time. Little value for money and he has destroyed team chemistry by all accounts.

Won't take GC long to become Qld No1 team!

I have heard rumours that GC has him signed sealed and delivered.
His gf is in Brisbane and doesn't want to move.

So according to Jon Ralph Riska is a done deal to the GCST, and according to other journo's Brennan is a done deal to the GCST. Given that only ONE player can go from any club to the GCST, already one of them is bullsh1t.

Riska won't make it to the PSD people, sorry to burst your bubble. He'll either sign with GCST, or sign with the Lions, or be traded to another club first.

This story has legs though.
Brisbane shopped him and Bradshaw around to get Fev.
Neither wanted to go and Rischetelli was pissed right off. Vowed there and then that he would serve out his contract and go to GC.

i thought they could only get 1 uncontracted player
they can still trade their picks for players from the same club cant they?

Maybe so Tugga, but apparently Brennan is now seeking a counter offer from the lions after receiving a GC offer supposedly in the order of 1.9m over 3 years, (seems rather inflated to me on his actual output). Hutchy spoke of it again last night on 'Footy Clasified' and said that the lions have no means of matching it as they have little cap room. Caro also put in her two bob's worth in agreeance on the subject. Surely if Rischa was a done deal, GC wouldn't be offering Brennan a hypothetical contract.

As stated in later posts, all journo's run on rumour and innuendo all the time, covering both angles of any story. I guess someone will be right in the end, but for now we shouldn't believe anything unless it is official AFL Club news.

From a RFC point of view, I would still be sounding out Rischa's status.

if im not mistaken in the psd dont GC have the first 3 picks and by that stage he would have been delisted if he didnt sign a contract with brisbane which would allow them to pick him up. I may be wrong, but im in not then a trade would have to be made and as much as i would love to have him we shouldnt pay too much to aquire his services. On a side note i say we go after jack anthony to give reiwoldt a chop out. Maybe cousins could convince kerr to come down to richmond land? lol now im in dream land.
