Just can’t warm to Goodwin and can’t put my finger on why

Melbourne the past 4 years are a great clearance team (with Gawn, Oliver, Petracca and Viney) and a great defensive team (with May and Lever). Goodwin has been able to utilise his strengths really well.

However, it’s been obvious for some time that their ball movement going inside 50 is too one dimensional and holding them back. Everyone with half a clue can see that, and he’s clearly making efforts to fix it but hasn’t been able to.

The logical conclusion is Goody is a decent coach with a great list, however is clearly limited tactically.

Nah still doesn’t help me warm to him😁

At this point though, I would be ecstatic if the Roo threw the kitchen sink to get Goodwin to the Crows as head coach. He would be 5 times better than Nicks. I dont even care if he fails and is sacked in 2 seasons, but a bad goodwin on drugs would be a lot better than vanilla stubborn Nicks who blames everyone else but himself.

Their shadows would beat them

Ooooh, ghosts of the B team beat the A team...only one group of individuals able to solve that mystery

Another item to add to the 'stench'.

I've heard a number of players talk about how much better the past players connections to the club is now.
Given that at each home game there is a 'past players and officials' box, and past players are rarely seen in there (sometimes their kids are, but not many), you have to wonder just how badly treated they have been. Are we that incompetent, that in a league where father-son pickups can be a great advantage, we have completely trashed relationships with past players?
That was a Fagan thing. Tried to remove the ties to the past to focus on the present or something.
The current admin has at least tried to fix it after mcleod blew up about it

Joel Amartey has had a fairly forgettable game today. Shows how poorly we defended him last weekend.

Walker was on triple m when the Lions kicked about 10 goals in a row. Clearly stated that in that situation after about the third goal you have to look at personnel. That was on Nicks

Care to elaborate? What did he mean? Match ups? List not good enough? Coach should have stopped momentum?
