im sitting home sick feeling sorry for myself and started thinking about music.

The way I rate a album is over time, the albums that are great to me are the ones that I go back to year after year. The albums that remind you of great times ,hard times big nights mates and the like.

So I’m putting it out there what are your top albums , the ones you reach for when there is nothing new, the ones you reach for on a good or bad day.

Mine are.

Cool list! I wanted to use The prodigy songs for my video, but this function was blocked. Thanks god that there are a lot of cool online audio editors. I use crello and usually add audio to video with it. But you can also create a lot of cool stuff with it.

I have a shit ton of vinyl accumulated over many years so it's not easy to narrow it down. But i will make some sort of an attempt.

My own rules in compiling my list -

*No compilation albums
*No "Best of" or posthumous releases (Technically the Eastern Dark record was a posthumous release because James Darroch died after it was recorded and the band was no more when it came out)
*No split releases.
*No more than one release from any given band.

In no particular order (except the order that they sit on my shelves, because i actually just fingered through them all to compile this list) here are mine. There was a crapload of close calls. This must be what it feels like trying to squeeze so many into a 22 man AA team.

Die Kreuzen - Die Kreuzen.

Died Pretty - Free Dirt

Lubricated Goat - Paddock Of Love

Adolescents - Adolescents

Descendents - Enjoy

Butthole Surfers - Psychic....Powerless....Another Man's Sac.

Killdozer - Snakeboy

The Eastern Dark - Long Live The New Flesh (ok, technically a 12" Mini-LP, but it's going in)

Detox - Detox (Arguably the most criminally underrated album of all time)

Poison Idea - War All The Time

Th' Inbred - A Family Affair

M.I.A. - Murder In A Foreign Place

The Crowd - A World Apart

Turbonegro - Apocalypse Dudes

Angry Samoans - STP Not LSD

Black Flag - Loose Nut

SNFU - And No-One Else Wanted To Play

7 Seconds - The Crew

Subhumans (Canada) - Incorrect Thoughts

The Hoodoo Gurus - Stoneage Romeos.

The Celibate Rifles - 2nd album (later became known as "5 Languages")

Venom P Stinger - Meet My Friend Venom

TSOL - Dance With Me

The Dead Kennedey's - Plastic Surgery Disasters
