I think it's the scam of getting us to us cards and then when everyone is doing it add a surcharge. Campaigners are closing down ATMs these days, it's getting harder to get cash.

The IDF 100% know there are kids in those buildings at the exact time they fire their missiles and they know every last detail about the occupants prior to firing.
The system for targeting can be fully automated and very shortly will be - theoretically at least - able to be entirely controlled by AI which can just select as many targets per minute as the algorithm spits out.
Israel don't care who they sell weapons to as long as they pay...welcome to the 21st century.

They closed the Westpac ATM which is closest to me and it became an independent ATM. Westpac customers don't pay extra AT THE MOMENT. But I know how they work, give it 12 months and you will be paying $2.50 to withdraw cash.

Nigeria is one of the first to try really pushing for all digital currency, it's been an absolute disaster there, but they are a bit more of a cash-centric society than most Western ones.
One of the many intriguing consequences of the failed rollout there was that the digital currency ended up significantly devalued compared to cash.
