The recharge on my phone was $25 a month for years. It went up to $30 after COVID then up to $35 last year and is going up to $39 Oct this year. Wish wages went up that much.
After those price rises I left Optus...no can do anything for your 10years of loyalty...so went to Telstra.
Have a monthly recharge of $30 monthly cos of pensioner discount...

Think you're right. There's a Tangerine now tho.
Main issue with me is reception but I'm sick of Telstra hiking their prices the campaigners.
telstra is the best by far for reception

you prob wont even have a bar with optus or vodafone

$30 is still steep. I've been looking and there's plenty on offer for around the $20 a month. I don't need much data, just after unlimited calls and texts. Means nothing if you can't get a signal though, been through that years ago hence my reason going to Telstra.
