Analysis The 'Unachievable' Holy Grail Season - How many, if any, will we tick off?

After Elliot's GOTY contended today I started thinking about what we are currently on track to/a chance to achieve this year in terms of accolades.



This got me thinking about what a "holy-grail" list of club success in a season would look like. So what would a holy-grail list look like and how many are we a chance to tick off this year?



Current HG list and where we stand for 2023 (will amend based on feedback):



The Holy Grail List



Premiership - Premiership favourite
Minor Premiership - Minor Premiership favourite
Norm Smith Medal - possible
Gary Ayers Medal - possible
Brownlow Medal - Brownlow Medal favourite
Coleman Medal - No 2023 chance
AA Captain - One of the leading chances in Moore
Coach of the Year - One of the top chances
Leigh Matthews Trophy - 2nd on the leaderboard I believe?
GOTY - Elliot a live chance
MOTY - Presently not in the running... Well Howe has only just come back
???

As the list stands we are presently in the mix for.





Notes: I haven't added things such as ANZAC medal etc that are only available to specific teams. The purpose of this list would be any club could technically achieve it in a season.



For stats lovers out there, would be interesting to know which side has come closest to having a clean sweep of the list.

From 26-30 September 2011 Collingwood held nearly every trophy and major award it was possible to hold.

Reigning premier
Reigning minor premier
Reigning pre-season premier
Brownlow medallist
Norm Smith medallist
Every single trophy between us and another club (ANZAC trophy, Peter MacCallum Cup, Richard Pratt Cup, Dyer- Richards Cup etc)
Mark of the year
Cloke came second in the Coleman - our only real miss

A lot of those didn’t mean much after the events of 1 October 2011.

Let’s just focus on getting the one that really counts.
