Crusty Demons website and Bombshellzine have reported that The Used have been confirmed in May for a tour . They will be playing Crusty Demons 10th Anniversary Tour at the Queensland Raceway on Saturday 14th May. Also supporting will be Shihad, The Butterfly Effect, COG, Sunk Loto, Magic Dirt, In The Grey, Japunga and Capitol City. I hope that they have more shows.. dont think Id be able to get to queenland.. but thank god they are coming...

Im hopeing that they do. Everywhere I've looked I've seen things like "other shows to be announced soon"... so Im assuming(hopeing) that the queensland show isnt their only one. Seeing them live would be about just as good as a Demons premiership... love this band SO much!

I love em too, Blue and yellow is easily my fav song, The taste of ink is a great song too, Buried myself alive is a great song to relax too.

"Maybe Memories" would be amazing live! I've seen videos of it/heard live recordings, and that song just seems to have SO much energy, not to mention that its one of their best songs.

"Choke Me" would go down well too... now THATS The Used! None of this "Yesterdays Feelings" or "Hard To Say" crap!

They aint coming to Melbourne. The Used will be at that Crusty show and they are doing one other show at the UNSW Roundhouse on the 12th May

I was damn upset when I heard last night... There is no was in hell that I'll be able to afford to go intersate.. Im just hopeing that they come back at the end of the year for the so-called Australian leg of the Taste Of Chaos tour.. would be damn sweet...

There is hope yet, news on The Used site says that they will be headlining the International Taste Of Chaos tour. That means they will be back here in late October and November.

Yep, The Used are coming to Aus for sure again in October.. it was on the Taste Of Chaos website.. That would be an amazing show to go to.. bands like My Chemical Romance, The Used, Killswitch Engage, Underoath, A Static Lullaby...*faints*..

October is still ages away.. but I've been waiting to see The Used live since I first heard "Buried Myself Alive" just over 3 years ago.. a few more months wont kill me...*sigh*

I been listening to these guys a bit more over the last couple of days and i was surprised how many songs i knew pretty well. They play them a lot at Switch and Next. They are a must see for me now.

Most of their stuff is really catchy... Im seriously surprised how a band like Simple Plan can have all of this fame in Australia, when a band that actually has talent (The Used) cant even sell enough cd's to play 1 show in Melbourne... crazyness..

Saosin, probably the coolest punk band around at the moment are also coming on this tour.

Cant wait, even though id have prefered anthony green was still around with them, im still pumped.
everyone check them out, in my opinion much better than the used

The Used arnt "punk"....if anything, theyr music would be classified as "post-hardcore"... but im just being anal..

oh.. and the Post-Hardcore tag only applies to their old stuff... a few of the newer songs are plain crappy pop songs.

So Im assuming that you'd lump the "oh-so-punk" Simple Plan and Good Charlotte in there as well?...

The Used have elements of punk in their music... but the screaming factor (almost non-existant in the new record.. well.. with the exeption of a few songs..) makes them emocore/post-hardcore/etc etc...

Although Im not really a fan of punk music, I know enough about it to know that The Used dont fit in the same boat..

no simple plan and co dont come near punk, they are pop music.

but tyhe used still have that element of punk, have the whole punk culture thing going on about them so im going to forget about the stupid sub genres and call them punk, maybe even hardcore.
