Why?
Clarko is a very good coach and they have strong leadership.

They clearly have a great system in place, considering how many assistants have landed head coaching roles at other clubs.

They don't bottom out, and are in the hunt again this year.
Jaeger is there and they have been able to get him on the park playing good footy when most thought he was cooked.

To be honest i can't really think of any reasons why you wouldn't pick Hawthorn.

Our injury profile imo would scare alot of suitors off if they themselves have had some issues.

haha.. it's the flimsiest argument for a recruit, for every WHE there are 9 Dion Prestia's that don't pick their club supported as a kid.

From memory i don't think there were too many teams after WHE's services.

He doesn't have to wait until trade period to announce his chosen destination. Historically lots of players have gone early on their announcement and then the clubs go into the first morning with a free agency transfer request. But historically all of the players that have announced early have done so after the clubs that are involved are out of contention.

So I would assume that the earliest that we hear about his official choice will be the week after the Grand Final. The media are going to string this out for a long time however I would be lying if I said I won't be reading/analysing everything

He can announce his desired destination, but that's about it as obviously a large part of it is dependent on what GC choose to do in terms of matching the offer.

Update:
Ricky Nixon's contact, who he reckons is 100% has told him that Lynch has agreed to terms with the Pies.
His Gold Coast contact says there's a bit to play out before Lynch gets to the Pies.
As with most positive news about Collingwood, Nixon doesn't like it so he says that he doesn't 100% believe it.
Either this or he's trolling.

Edit: Oh yeah, reckons the Pies were talking about it late last night at the Holden Centre. Who has that tool got on the inside? During preseason he was saying something about exciting game plan changes and to look out for improvement. Then again, when looking at the last few seasons, it's probably a good guess. ****ed if I know.
