the idea of getting someone else to lick the stamps seems pretty silly when you consider that dna forensics only really started in the late 70s, so it wouldn't really be in the playbook of criminals trying to avoid detection for Zodiac.

I finished the Netflix show and while it highlights ALA as weird convicted dude I dont think he is the Zodiac Killer

There were a few issues I had. Mostly around recollections and a lack of clarity

Firstly the way the series was presented left me feeling confused. It jumped from time to time - and I think this was deliberate ie it suggested David was 11-14 when the murders happened when he would have been 18-19

His recollection of the phone call where Allen allegedly confessed could be interpreted differently - he says after he asked Allen if he molested his sister he broke down crying and said Yes . He then says there was further crying and he asked him if he was the Zodiac

And this is where interpretation comes in and yes I may have heard differently . But when he asked the question he said '' I could hear Lee was crying and and after a while said Yes again ''

Now I suggest Lee had the phone down on the table while crying and heard a question he thought was related to Connie and so his yes was further agreement to the molesting

I have concern that the handwriting from all the saved letters havent been confirmed ( or denied) to match

Edit: Also there was mention of a school absence slip for November 1 and it was said it was the day after the Bates murder on 30/10

October has 31 days - just little stuff like that

Nothing was ever mentioned about his spelling in those letters - that would be my focus as well

Overall there was some compelling stuff but nothing conclusive

In the doco the kids stated they used to go with drives with ALA - the insinuation once again that they were 6-13 yrs . Then later it was stated '' we saw the movie and suddenly realised Lee had taken us to all these places ''

Well yeah but 5 years earlier ie the doco tried to present it as current with the murders. Also they never state all the other places Lee took them.

I have felt it was someone who knew the 2 couples

There were connections from Ferrin to the others

Ferrin did know Betty Lou Jensen and David Faraday, however. She previously attended Hogan High School, was familiar with Lake Herman Road's status as a lover's lane, and lived less than two blocks from Jensen's house

If we take Maugeau witness statement this is what he said

Mageau described his attacker as a white man with a large face, who was heavyset, around 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighed 195 to 200 pounds, and had short, curly light brown hair and a potbelly. He was wearing dark clothes and did not have glasses

But there is a picture of another unidentified person who could be the killer taken with Ferrin who was 5'5''

Just watched the Netflix documentary.

With all that connects Allan to the case specifically the locations, it would actually be unbelievable he didn't do any of the murders at all.

Take away the murders and he had still done some very bad stuff.

I found the murders at the beach hard to believe though, leaving the kids in the car and then did the murder and back up to the car in an hour or 2 with blood on his hands. Risking that one of the kids could have followed him down and seen the whole thing. Maybe he was getting that cocky but I doubt it.

If all true then he was the luckiest Murderer to ever live.

That confused me as well, talking about being with him while they were children and then suddenly talking about him when they were teenagers and moving out of home.
