The day began with grand plans of being methodical, the Villagers agreeing on the need for logic, strategy and clear thinking. Which lasted all of about five minutes. From there, it was a whirlwind of wild accusations, conspiracy theories, and more bandwagons than a circus. The Village bounced from suspect to suspect like a cat chasing a laser pointer, convinced at various points that everyone was guilty and no one could be trusted.
At one point, someone suggested lynching the inactive players - a plan that was met with nods of agreement, thoughtful discussion … and then promptly abandoned when a new, shinier target appeared.
But as the deadline loomed, votes started stacking up on one player's name and it seemed that there was finally a semblance of consensus. Despite a spirited protest, it was too late. The execution had momentum, and the Village wasn’t about to stop now.
