The tiggies already pumping themselves up for Ollie Wines next year on their board. Tears 12 months in the making, gonna be delicious.
Lol. Can't see Wines leaving Port tbh. He seems pretty happy there.

Maybe they can pay his girlfriend $200,000 p/a to get the deal done ;)

We don't want him anyway, he's a hack but we'll make Richmond pay overs though......amidoinitright?

Make no mistake about it, all our three new recruits- we fended off serious competition and in all cases we did not have to overpay both in terms of contracts and at the trade table.

Adam Treloar- Richmond and North Melbourne went hard for him. The Tigers were willing to part with two first round picks on their own for him, that's how bad they wanted him. We managed to get a second round back.

James Aish- Carlton flew up to meet him mid year. Richmond had a look after Treloar. North Melbourne came hard for him with a huge contract offer far greater than ours. He chose us, for less $$$$.

Jeremy Howe- Again North made a big pitch for him. GC offer was far greater in terms of length and cash. He chose us for less $$$ even when we were telling him he had plenty to work on and he still wanted to join.

Very True.

Treloar could gone to Tigers or North. They Made Finals and I heard Tigers made the Biggest Offer.

I think Aish would only come to us. Had Bigger Offers from North but Chose us Still

Demons wanted Howe to go to Suns

Richmond did go hard for him, but even with getting the 2nd round back to Collingwood, the offer was at least equal to Richmond's two first rounders because of the value of 7 over 12 plusGWS may be betting on Richmond finishing above Collingwood next year (speculative of course).

Richmond also reportedly offered Griffiths in addition to their two firsts (although God knows why the Tigers thought that was a good sweetener given they up to their eyeballs in KPP prospects.

Haven't heard that. Maybe they thought McCarthy'd be gone already.
It doesn't look like Richmond sees any future in Griff if true.

I heard the grab of KB's pronouncement on SEN the other day where he basically stated the flag is Richmonds to lose next year. I couldn't help thinking that he has really started to become the Richmond Lou Richards. Older Pie fans will recall how Lou used to make big bold statements about the Pies in the 70s and 80s and often he would do big publicity dares ie things he would do if we didn't win like row a bathtub across the Yarra or have something poured over his head. More than anything it just served to magnify Collingwoods humiliation whenever we lost. In fact Lou was so prodigious at getting predictions wrong that his weekly tipping column was called 'The Kiss of Death.' My family used to actually pray that he didn't pick Collingwood to win. Lou was a great Collingwood man! but also a silly old bugger. I see KB as stepping very much into the mould of being Richmond's public media soul in the same way. At the end of the day it's all good copy, good harmless fun and the people most likely to be hurt by it are Richmond fans. I think KBs absurd statement about Trelaor may have had us freaking out momentarily but ultimately it shafted his own nearest and dearest because he gave them false, unsubstantiated hope. He is likely doing the same thing right now in talking flags. Would be interested to get some tigers fans thoughts on this.

He's playing a character. It keeps him on the radio. I doubt many tiges supporters take that seriously. It's all a bit of fun and banter.

Last time I got caught up in the romance was when Kevin Sheedy said we could surprise a few in 09 after a strong finish to 08 and recruiting Cuz. In hindsight I'm Pretty sure Sheeds was a bit past it by then.
