Exonerated by both CA and Cricket Tasmania in separate investigations over 3 years ago.

What's changed? Is it just the "optics".

He wasted all his reviews

It’ll come back to bite them one day, especially if they aspire to a public life, such as sport or politics. Blackmail, cancelling, loss of job or promotion prospects, public exposure, all lie in wait.

Yep, what a sad sad world we have become. the answer is of course don't do it.

So you don't just delete it and tell him 'that's inappropriate'?

Wasn't an issue for her until she got caught stealing, I find that more intriguing

I think some people would absolutely do what you suggested, but it's equally obvious to me at least, that others would be so upset by the picture that they make a complaint with (both of) their employer. The fact that it appears Paine didn't know which way she would react tells me he shouldn't have sent it.

The timing of the complaint whilst potentially interesting, in no way invalidates that point.

How did he restore The Oz PR image, he made an absolute f/wit of himself in the last home series.
I've felt he's a terrible tactician, mediocre keeper, and subpar bat, but everyone says he got Australian cricket through its "darkest hour" by being a nice guy.

Agree he looked like a d-head with weak banter after last series.

The courtship process used to be a lot simpler. Flirting was once considered fun? In the horrible years since the year 2000 unsolicited and/or unwelcome sexual messages can and will be considered sexual harassment, so make sure the other party is a willing participant before progressing too far. A signed waiver is the safest approach, but who approaches a girl/woman and asks her to sign "here" before saying hello? That sort of dampens the mood you're trying to establish. Warnie needs to put out a guidebook to sexting? Since he hasn't yet, I recommend you steer clear of complicated acronyms. You might know that IAGTBOIMUP4U means "I am going to beat off inside my underpants for you," but if it takes three supplementary texts to explain what it means and why that's a good thing, you may lose a bit of momentum. Something that happened years ago comes back to haunt Tim Paine just weeks before an Ashes series? Talk about timing!

I dunno, I recon most people would take a single instance of an unwanted picture on their phone over the complete betrayal that is cheating on a marriage.
cheating a marriage is a violation of a promise. unwanted sexual images is a violation of the mind and privacy.

not everyone would be effected badly, a lot of people could forget it. but a lot of people couldnt and it will cause some level of trauma.

The way I see it is just view it the same as in person flirting. If you were chatting someone up and then suddenly dropped your dacks you'd be viewed as an absolute psycho.

how is it a sad world that people suffer consequences for their actions, actions which violate others and could cause trauma?

the world is a far better place than it ever has been, purely because this shit is no longer considered acceptable.

No they're not.

They don't exist within the same context.

It's like arguing a picture of a bomb sent by me to you is the same thing as a picture of a bomb sent by Osama bin Laden to you.

The context is totally different.
Right......that makes sense

In your example, a dick pic from you is ok and a dick pick from a rapist isn't ok.

She probably didn't appreciate the pic but from what I've read/heard never raised an objection about it until 2 years later. (but must have kept it, even though it was so inappropriate, must have thought it could come in handy later on, you know, in case she decided to do some criminal sh*t at her job)

leverage no doubt.

now she doesn'thave it

Piece of cake to work out the identity of the woman in question, the fact she was mid 40's at the time just makes it worse I reckon... Something you'd expect from a bloke just drafted into to the AFL, not the 'saviour' of Aussie Cricket
Damn, Timmy was into some cougar action? I like him even more now.

Surely a professional athlete must know that you send a pic like that to a woman they will NEVER delete it.
I was asked to send a dick pic to a girl I had slept with a few times. I didnt do it knowing it would probably get out when our relationship ended.

It wasn't an issue to report it until she was in trouble and wanted leverage to get out of criminal charges ....

You're making a real effort to jump to conclusions that make her the bad one.

It's possible it was discovered when police or Cricket Tasmania were searching her phone looking for evidence.

Are you famous? If the answer is no it’s likely she would have deleted it not long after.

I remember having this convo with some female friends after the Jon Patton scandal, all of them said they’ve received lots of those pics and never kept them, but if they had one of a famous person…

I don't think she is bad and I don't think he is bad. I think it's to adults flirting and he sent something she didn't like, which a 'too far, don't send nude' would suffice.

But the timing of the complaint is all too coincidental to what was going on in her life.
