This is a question for us oldies,
who remembers when the time on changed, in the 60s and 70s quartes ran for 25 minutes plus time on.
The clock only stopped when a goal was scored so the clock kept ticking for boundary throw ins and ball ups.
Quarters lasted 28 to 30 minutes on average.
It would be much easier on the umpires who have to much on their plate now maybe we should go to the old ways.
I don’t know why it changed anyway can anyone remember.
