The story so far....sorry for the long post, just setting the scene.

Yeah too true, I've go my eye on the Hawks pick number .... 138:eek:.

What type of footballer would said pick bring ?

Me.

Project forward pocket. Speedy, but slight. After 4 preseasons I would be pushing 75kgs!

Sounds fine and wouldn't be the first time we've drafted your type . Me I'd rather a 150kg Maori with a short fuse.

Where would you play him?

well on D. Jarman in the 98 GF for example. Wouldn't expect more than 5-10 games out of him during his 10 year career though!

North Melbourne, ever the innovators, have hatched a bold new tactic dubbed the "Bouncer Sub". Essentially the tactic involves activating the sub with a "specialist" player to "nullify" an opposition player who has "gotten of the leash". North's pick 138 in the 2013 draft, Ewan "Tiny" Kippianati, has made the position his own since debtuing in round 5 this year and totally "nullifying" Essendon Skipper and current Brownlow Medalist, Jobe Watson. Ewan, who can't play again until round 8, due to a suspension from the same game, said "I'm jest hippy to pley my rule and thet bro, ay"

Sorry, thought I'd lighten the mood...............k then, back to the analysis, hypothesising, ranting etc.

No please continue, it's much better than the other shit we've been discussing.

How does Tiny go in his second game?

North Melbourne's innovative new tactic, dubbed the "Bouncer Sub" appears to be unravelling. Ewan "Tiny" Kippianati, around whom the tactic revolves, played his second game today against Collingwood. The problem for North Melbourne and Kippianati was that he was required to substitute for North's speed machine Keiran Harper who copped a corked thigh 10 minutes in to the first quarter. Although Kippianati was able to "nullify" the Magpies's new recruit Quinten Lynch, he soon found the pace of the game hard to adapt his 150 kg frame to. "It was taking him 5 minutes to get to the bench, our rotations were stuffed" a clearly unimpressed North Coach, Brad Scott said after the game. "Tiny is obviously going to have to work on his fitness, his "nullifications" are fantastic, we just need to see more of them". Kippianati will have the next 7 weeks to work on his fitness due to an early gulty plea for an offence 12 minutes into the first quarter, Kippianati had carry over points from an incident earlier this year.

Asked if he thought the so called "Bouncer Sub" tactic was paying dividends, Scott replied "We may have to have another look at it, perhaps it's better to leave this sort of thing for a grand final".

I'd buy Tiny's guernsey on the Roo Shop online auction.

Clean up enough blokes, could clone the worlds best player.

I think it's time Tiny was put in cotton wool until the West Coast game where he should playing a "nullifying" role on Cox.

Made me larf ya did- nice work, 5 gold stars for you!!

PS- no way Franklin would have kicked 13 goals had 'Tiny' been playing that day in Tassie.

Yeah Tiny's been sent, mid season, to UTAH for some conditioning work. He might get another 1 or 2 games this year, depending on umpires, camera angles, etc. Look out for the "Tiny's back" thread.

Tiny's coming to get you!!!

Jimmy Thunder Vs Crawford Grimsley is I think what we're all about.:D

Although James Peau was Samoan of course.
I love Tiny.

Best thing since the season finished.

North Melbourne’s win over West Coast last night was attributed in large part to Ewan “Tiny” Kippianati, the player after whom the “Bouncer Sub” tactic is named. Kippianati who returned from UTAH during the week was utilised in a different way for this game than in his previous two.

“Tiny’s UTAH experience taught us that fitness will never be his strong suit” North assistant Darren Crocker said this morning “so we thought it was better for him to start the game, try to “nullify” a couple of opponents, then sub him out for a player with more pace”

On balance the tactic seemed to work with Kippianati able to “nullify” Eagles’ Ruckman Dean Cox early in the game, which may have been the difference between the teams. Kippianati’s attempts to “nullify” Eagles pair Adam Selwood and Luke Shuey fell flat however.

Video of the Cox incident seemed inconclusive and Kippianati is unlikely to be reported for the incident, he was however reported by a field umpire, a goal umpire and two boundary umpires for attempting to strike both Shuey and Selwood. Because of his previous poor record Kippianati has been suspended for 5 games, downgraded to 4 with an early plea.

Attempts to interview Kippianati were interrupted by North Coaching staff who said “Tiny’s got no comment to make at this time” Kippianati however was overheard, as he was whisked away, to say “Silwood end Shuey are duckers ay, Tiny well put thum un a chully bun”.

NULLIFYING TACTICS COME UNDER QUESTION

North Melbourne Maori recruit Ewan "Tiny" Kippianati has come under fire for his controversial tactics. In 3 games for the embattled Kangaroos he has been reported 3 times and suspended for a total of 14 games while his "victims" will miss a total of 13 months. Cox alone will miss the next 9 months after surgery last night was performed to remove his two front teeth from his larynx.

James Brayshaw needs to take responsibility here and admit that the recruitment of Kippianati has been an unmitigated disaster and has further tarnished the reputation of the club he presides over. Former North Melbourne President Allen Aylett is appalled that North Melbourne would adopt such a tactic. When pressed with a quilt feather to make a comment he stated "North missed a golden opportunity to move to the Gold Coast". Peter De Rauche is also said to be unhappy with the club.

James Brayshaw has had plenty of time to rectify the problems at the embattled club but yet another issue had arisen and the critics are barking at his door. He needs to take responsibility and resign and give the embattled Kangaroos a chance to recover for the inevitable relocation to Hobart.

If North make the grand final this year then that would also coincide with Kippianati's return from suspension and I hope that the AFL ask for more ambulances.

I would pay a large sum to see that happen to Cox!

As usual the vile serpant doesn't let facts get in the way of a North demo job.

Tiny has been suspended 3 times for a total 0f 13 weeks, he debuted in round 5 was supended for 2 weeks for the Watson incedent which he took to the tribunal and had his original 4 weeks downgraded to 2 due to it being his first offence, hence a previous good record, Tiny also argued that he "only tipped Wutson a wee but" but the tribunal chose to ignore this evidence. He then got 7 weeks for his massive hit on Lynch, his evidence this time included the line "ma fit dudn't live the ground bro, Tiny's not a wee feery", His downgraded attempted striking charge of 4 weeks (which we all know was the AFL's way of getting Tiny for the Cox incident, where they had no evidence)which Tiny pleaded guilty to brings the total to 13 and makes him available for a round 20 return and a possible match up with Fremantles Hayden Ballentyne.

Need some photos of Tiny.

The photo that Brett33 put up earlier is obviously photoshopped (probably by his management) this is the only recent photo I could find.

tiny7.jpg

Strangely there seems to be no pics of Tiny in his North gear, or any articles on the club's website. Our media people need to fix this ASAP.

You listening Heath?

BREAKING NEWS:

Police are investigating an incident last involving suspended player Ewan "Tiny" Kippianti who plays for the embattled Kangaroos.

The incident centres around a brawl between Kippiniati and a cab. The driver was unhurt but really shocked at seeing Kippiniati systematically punch all the lights out of the car.

When questioned by Police, the "footballer" said the cab had started the incident by parking in his path. When the cab refused to move, he took matters into his own hands. The cab driver witnessed the incident from across the road as he drank his coffee.

North Melbourne didn't answer any calls as Kippiniati had smashed every phone at Aegis Park earlier in the week after losing a game of Checkers to another player.

His court hearing will be set next week.

Geez, I hope any club suspension is carefully timed to coincide with his AFL suspension or the much awaited Fremantle/Ballentyne clash could be in jeopardy.

"TINY PROBLEM AVERTED"

Fresh evidence has been forwarded in the "Tiny" Kippiniati vs Taxi Cab affiair. According to "sources" Kippiniati is a chronic migraine headache sufferer and may have been reacting badly to bright lights that were in his field of vision. A Leading Melbourne Doctor, who cannot be named because he is also a Dentist, has confirmed that Kippiniati suffers from the condition know as Photophobia or "light sensitivity" a well know trigger of Migraines, Photophobia may also be behind the conspicious lack of photos of Kippiniati available online.

Ex Police commissioner and AFL umpire, Simon Overland has confirmed that charges layed against Kippiniati were withdrawn this morning. Overland denied any knowledge of an earlier incident at Aegis Park, directing enquiries on the matter to North Melbourne. The club today, chose not to comment on the matter, although players are believed to have been advised to remove any competitive games from their relaxation room at the club.

Kippiniati himself had very little to say on the subject as media tried to get him to comment when he arrived for training at Aegis Park. "Tiny's bin a wee but suck, ay" was the only comment he made on the matter. When pushed to comment on the alledged checkers incident, Kippiniati stated "chickers es a sully geme bro".

North Melbourne are said to be relieved that Kippiniati can put the incident behind him and concentrate on what may be his comeback match against Fremantle later this week. North have had mixed results in the 7 weeks Kippiniati has been unavailable, winning 4 games and losing 3, they have obviously missed Kippiniati's nullifiying tactics and have had to change their style to a more free flowing, handballing game.

AFL powerbrokers refused to make any comment on the matter, but are known to be thrilled with the amount of interest in the up coming North v Fremantle game. Social media sites were today full of comments about Kippiniati and a potential matchup on Fremantle serial pest Hayden Ballantyne, comments included, "I hope Tiny ****** kills the ****** little **** *****", "Tiny ****** rocks" , "this thug should be banned" and "choice, bro".

DOCKERS CAUGHT SHORT

North Melbourne bad boy Ewan “Tiny" Kippiniati put a somewhat eventful week behind him upon his return from suspension against Fremantle last night, however a much anticipated clash with Hayden Ballantyne had a very embarrassing climax for the Docker serial pest.

Kippiniati, who started on the field as he did against the Eagles in his last game, confronted Ballantyne after the serial pest had kicked his second goal in as many minutes, early in the first quarter. In scenes reminiscent of the infamous Archer v Carey confrontation in the early 2000’s, Kippiniati shaped as if to punch Ballentyne and the Docker small man didn’t just flinch, as Carey did, but actually hid behind team mate Ryan Crowley. Some minutes later Ballantyne was subbed out of the game, went down into the Dockers change rooms and was not sighted again. There were rumours in the stadium last night that Ballentyne had suffered a sudden bout of diarrhoea, a claim somewhat confirmed by Ballantyne’s ungainly “fast walk” from the field and a laughing Jack Ziebell send off in which the North vice captain pointed at Ballentyne’s rump then clapped the little man as he waddled from the field.

The loss of Ballantyne and shortly thereafter, of Crowley as a result of a “nullifying” move by Kippiniati, were major influences on the eventual outcome, a come from behind 44 point win by the Kangaroos.

North may be left ruing the loss of Kippiniati, however, as he is almost certain to come under the scrutiny of the match review committee for his emphatic shirtfront on Crowley. Medical reports indicate 3 broken ribs and a cracked sternum for Crowley, Ballantyne’s condition is said to be “improving”.

Kippiniati would not comment on the Crowley incident when confronted this morning, however he could not mask his mirth when asked about Ballentyne. “Tiny geve hum dilly billy ay”

Does Tiny have a twitter account?

Not sure, I don't have twitter myself (or facebook), so cant check. I'm fairly sure he doesn't though because I have it on good authority he hates all forms of technology and doesn't even own what he calls a "sill fon"

Maybe someone on BF could help Tiny out by setting up a twitter acount for him ;);)

Is it true female AFL fans have been turning away after the Tiny Cox incident?

Ha, I see what you did there :)

Tiny wouldn't like any inuendo that Tiny is "tiny" though. It took Tiny many years to come to grips with his nickname, he would often say "Tiny's nut a wee led, Tiny's a beg led, ay"
As for the ladies in Australia, they seem to like Tiny and he describes them as "sweet es"

North Melbourne has a serious dilemma on it’s hands as it heads towards a major assault on this years’ finals.

First year player, the perennially suspended, Ewan “Tiny” Kippiniati is due to return for the ‘Roos Qualifiying final this Saturday Night against Hawthorn.

Kippiniati would be a welcome addition to the side for the game and would probably be used in his customary nullificaion role in combating Lance “Buddy” Franklin. The quandry North faces is that Kippiniati will almost certainly be reported and suspended as a result of his “bouncer sub” role in the side, meaning he would then not be available should North progress further.

North are said to be leaning towards playing Kippiniati for this weeks game and risking any suspension, reasoning that Franklin is the biggest obstacle between them and a Grand Final appearance. An unnamed source is quoted as saying “no way Franklin would have kicked 13 goals had 'Tiny' been playing that day in Tassie”.

North’s coaching staff refused to be drawn on the team’s final selection, but Chief of Football, Donald McDonald was involved in an incident when his microphone was left on after today’s press conference, McDonald was overheard clearly stating the “Tiny will have to nullify Buddy early, before the big lug runs out of puff”

When asked to comment yesterday, Kippiniati said “Tiny’s gut a nu wee buddy to pley wuth, ay”

I heard a rumour that GWS have offered him a massive contract. Word is it's 750k a year which equates to 250k a match. Good money if you can get it.
