I really cannot see how it will backfire to be honest

Both boys have proven over the last 6/7 years they are top quality players and are best 3 in their former teams GF year
Top draft picks that have lived up to expectations and have until 2022 been durable paying 114 games

90% of quality talent like these 2 boys play until atleast 31/32 and some beyond , The cash i dont see a problem with as we will lose Cotchin,Tarrant and Jack next year and most likely Grimes , Prestia end of 2024 and Dusty contract ends as well as Lynch the following year

Only Bolton left to extend now and all the cards we want would have fallen our way
