True, but once you've made it to the majors, you get the overseas tax haven set up and do most of your shopping overseas where you can claim the VAT back as you leave. I'm sure PWC can help you work your way through it.

Oh don't forget your receipt to claim back the fuel excise you pay as you fill up the RAM.

Knew of a smooth operator who owned a few well known businesses in Adelaide who owed the government mucho dolloro in unpaid taxes and they couldn’t touch him. Turned out he had a trust set up for his kids, everything belonged to the trust, he was the manager of said trust. Bingo bongo don’t pay no taxes, government can’t touch the money.

I don’t know if anything’s changed since I haven’t heard in a while but assume it’s ongoing. Imagine in that case they try to find some small thing you’ve slipped up on and nail you for that, if they want to get you.
