I think it's worth holding onto old consoles and games if you enjoy them at all because they are making it hard to access them in the coming years. We've seen it with films and TV shows where you think as long as you stay subscribed to seven different services you'll always have access to your favorites, but of course they take them down whenever they please and they're censored and chopped up to boot because everything you love has something 'controversial' that has to be removed. I believe in taking matters into your own hands, whether it's big stuff like growing your own food or little stuff like having your own entertainment on tap, you can't really trust others to provide for you I figure.

Same will happen to Spotify and music streaming, subscription cost will increase and stuff will start randomly disappearing. Really shits me when they have an artist with an incomplete discog and the one album you want to listen to isn't there.

Keep your CDs and records. CDs don't degrade unless they get scratched, better quality than streaming and you'll have it forever.

Absolutely. And at least Gold Coast had location going for it. I love Tassie and it is beautiful but how much appeal will it have for 20yo footy players?

Haven't been to Tassie.. but I'm sure they have a bit of night life for the kids to go out and have fun...

LOL, all this gaming talk makes me hanker for a new console (Xbox X?) but like everyone's said above, a grand is getting a bit rich.

Strictly retro only at our place. You can choose between the Sega Megadrive, original xbox or Nintendo 64 . As I could never master even those games I figured getting anything newer was a waste of time. I've yet to see a game I enjoy more than Donkey Kong 64 - why was that never remade into anything more modern? All the newer DKs suck.

Tasmania is great for people my age (old as dirt) or you don’t want to be found.
Used to be super cheap then the mainlander’s moved in and up went the land prices.
They will have trouble keeping young guys there unless there from Tassie.
