All this talk of us trading Macrae also ignores that he was on a salary signed right on the back of 3 All Australia seasons, yet his output at the Bulldogs hadn't matched anywhere near that level for a good period. He's a star but if we weren't going to utilise him in the same way St Kilda look to be now, for whatever reasons, it would have been an ongoing waste for both he and the Bulldogs.I'm happy we moved him on (despite being a favourite) and I'm happy he's found great form so far at the Saints.
