Trying to get everyone to rate sections of the field, midfield (including ruck) defence forward.
There are the obvious that are rated Melbourne Midfield and Ruck, Geelong Forward the ones that are always talked about as elite, but who has a section that is under the radar good.

Here is me having a stab in the dark.

1- Western Bulldogs Forward
This is the first time in my life that I have thought they have had a decent forward line. Naughton the gun who can run and jump at anything, Jamara who has versatility and will go to a very good player this year I feel. Weightman and exciting annoying talented genuine small forward, Lobbe and English rotating from the ruck and sitting deep to take pack marks or isolate a smaller defender. Rhylee West has great foot skills and a defensive side to his game. I think overall a very dangerous forward line. This is leaving out Darcy to play a different position as well.

2- Collingwood Midfield-
This has been talked about a bit but adding Mitchell and both Daicos boys reaching new levels every year this is stacked. Mitchell is a great ball winner and needs to go diesel style and just give handballs at a 3:1 ratio, to players like the Daicos boys, Pendlebury and Sidebottom who have exceptional decision making and foot skills. De Goey can be the other option he can break lines and kick goals and when Mitchell needs a break inside Taylor Adams has as much mongrel as anyone in the competition.

3- Gold Coast forward line
This one is not on the elite level yet but is going massively forward and could be there in 2 years.
King is back teaming up now with Chol this means anywhere up to 30 meters in the air is covered …!! Ainsworth has become a great small forward can get 20 possesions and 3 goals on regular occasions. Joel Jeffery had a huge debut and shows signs of another that could be dangerous and also having Levi through there as well is a huge presence.

And that's without mentioning 2x running B&F Jack Crisp, and the consistent Lipinski who looked very at home in his first full season in the middle and should have plenty of good football ahead of him.

Port's forward line is very good if Raz can string together some games

HF: Orazio Fantasia - Todd Marshall - Sam Powell-Pepper
F: Mitch Georgiades - Charlie Dixon - Junior Rioli
then Finlayson as a ruck-forward, and a number of mids who can rotate forward including Butters, Boak and Rozee

Yea agree with this about ports forward line… great rotating midfielders add JHF to that as well. If Marshall can go to the next level and Dixon stay fit that is dangerous.

With Crisp I see him as a HBF attacking style but maybe I’m wrong? Yes great depth as well, I think lipinski and McRae are solid as well and also Maynard in there for some power minutes.

King, chol, Ainsworth, Jeffrey, lukosius ,rosas, holman, humphrey, casboult, leading VFL goal kicker burgess.

Have the potential to score in lots of different ways and still provide a good mix of chase and tackle.

7th highest scoring team in 2022 despite virtually a completely brand new forward line. think it will be more potent this year with most players young and improving and a bit more synergy.

Just a minor point. Jeffrey debuted in 2021 - the 5 goal game against the dogs was his 6th career game.

Oh thanks that’s good to know about Jeffrey I was wrong. I was a fan of Sexton in the past, what are your thoughts on him? Seems to of dropped away.

Think he does the same things just as well.
He doesn’t really defend, tends to be a bit selfish and Dew won’t cop it.

Kicked 6 (albeit against the Roos) last game of the year so definitely a chance to take rankines spot.
