Deport people who say things I disagree with. Haha. Sure sounds like the party of free speech to me.

It is hilarious that nothing pisses MAGA ‘Christians’ off more than the actual teachings of Jesus.

Bicks you will be happy to know that European countries like Australia are significantly increasing their renewables to record levels....

Graph shows increase in wind, solar & gas. Decrease in coal & nuclear.

One thing I agree with Trump is that this ridiculous war must be ended... so even though he missed his ridiculous 1 day deadline, he succeeds very soon ending it. Not only should the USA be upping sanctions, all countries should be... along with using Russian money for the Ukraine rebuild.

So far Australia has contributed $1.5B. To the world it costs around $750M per day. What a waste of money & worse human life & homeland. Imaging how this money could be used better to improve standard of living for everyone...

Serious question? Serious answer.

Agree with a lot of what you posted about the economy.

Counter points:

1. You don’t get to lament the wealth transfer if you supported all those deranged Covid measures. You were told in real time that an irreversible, generational wealth transfer was in progress. Your general response to that was “shut up and put your mask on”. The wealth transfer was no accident. You shouldn’t talk about it like someone backed their car into your letterbox. It was intentional.

2. It’s not a serious conversation if you ignore illegal immigration and it’s decisive impact on the election. There is no way to sugarcoat this. The Biden Administration opened the border on purpose. It was an intentional act. Millions of undocumented, unvetted people flowed into the country, illegally. Not surprisingly, some of them were criminals, who went on to rape and murder American citizens. It’s hard to put into words how much of a complete betrayal of the American people that is. And why did they do it? Because the Biden Administration knew the children of these illegal immigrants would be birthright citizens who would forever support the party who allowed them into the country. Power grabs don’t get much more cynical than that. Democrats were more than happy to screw over American citizens and the country in order to achieve this.

3. The left’s general descent into abject insanity is no small thing in the context of this conversation. “Trans kids” “Pregnant men” DEI fire chiefs who think if you’re a man stuck in a burning building its your own fault. This shit is insane, and the vast majority of normal people hate it and/or politely tolerate it. The time for politely tolerating it is over. This shit is a stain on the west. And it’s not just a perpetual irritant — it’s deadly. There is no place for it anywhere, but inserting it into life or death occupations and emergency services is batshit f*cking insane.

What about chicks that identify as men? Are you saying they're not men?
The Irish have all this covered. Like Joe would say "No joke"

What is going on there.

Ireland’s new hate-crime law gives legal status to 72 genders

You make it sound like it’s a parking fine. “They did not like it”

Truly shocking that people “did not like” having their nation’s economy destroyed, their small business wiped out, their physical and mental wellbeing torched, and their kids’ education obliterated.

But hey. People will whinge about anything.

The people like you with nothing at stake — who sat in front of a laptop at home for two years — you’re the real heroes.

To be fair dying a preventable death is also bad for physical and mental wellbeing, and makes it difficult to maintain a business or gain an education.

No one is arguing lockdowns and school closures weren’t bad. They were and they had serious effects. They were too strict and went on for too long at times. It would have been a miracle if the pandemic was perfectly managed given how little was known at the start.

The GBD was not a serious plan to avoid these things without an excessive death toll. Even if it was implemented perfectly a lot more people would have died and it gets exponentially worse if it wasn’t implemented perfectly which would have certainly been the case.

I understand the risk for most individuals is low, I had it a couple of times and I never felt my life was at risk. I understand the risk is even lower for individual children without vulnerabilities. But when they are making public health choices they need to multiply these risks by the millions of people that are affected and the millions of interactions they will have through a pandemic. This is where the risk/benefit profile of the COVID vaccines really stood up and where ideas like the GBD fall apart.

Why do you think Sweden after trying to avoid lockdowns and school closures ended up changing tact and implementing lockdowns and school closures? Why do you think Florida run by DeSantis and advised by Bhattacharya implemented school closures?

Another thing Bhattacharya was wrong about - he was one of the ones claiming flu was more of a threat to children than COVID. This was wrong when he first said it and hasn’t aged well either. This still gets brought up as a talking point despite that.

“In this video, from November 2020 Dr. Jay Bhattacharya said “we’ve had more flu deaths among children this year than COVID deaths”. The first reported COVID death in the US was on 2/28/2020. By the time Dr. Bhattacharya recorded that video, COVID had killed at least 133 children according to the American Academy of Pediatrics. During that same time frame, the flu killed 9 children. The next year, just 1 child died of the flu while COVID killed several hundred children. Currently, the CDC reports 1,935 COVID deaths and 438 flu deaths amongst children since the start of the pandemic”

Still can't believe in 2025 we have posters defending the Nazi Salute

Don't get me wrong, I'm not surprised, but far out, the mask is definitely off isn't it.
I can't believe we have clowns interpreting an innocent gesture as a nazi salute. Pathetic losers.

How long has Trump been President again..3 days?. Border locked down and deportations well underway, well over a trillion dollars of new pledged investment into the USA, DOGE cutting billions in government waste, cabinet picks being installed, declassfied JFK files, secured ceasefire and hostage release from GAZA and now this...looking to end the war in Ukraine. If this is what the first week looks like, hold onto your hats for the next 207 weeks

They need to pay really close attention to what’s happening with young voters - especially male voters. What messages will resonate with this group? How do you authentically engage with them?
Firstly I'm reasonably confident that it relates to economic opportunities or lack thereof.

I also agree there is a real issue with the amount of grifters selling the idea of what masculinity is, which makes these guys upset that they don't achieve it.
Also, while I agree with you that the immigration issue is being blown way out of proportion, I think the horse has bolted on this. Many people just will not hear common sense on this right now and don’t want to be educated on the nuance around why immigration is needed. Fighting it might be futile for this election cycle.
I agree and it's easy sell.

With inflation easing, I think the blame the immigrants for the woes of the country isn't as effective
Controversial opinion but if they want to get ahead of the curve and win the election, Labor might need to bite the bullet and throw a bone to the rising anti-immigration sentiment. Ride the wave, don’t fight it, and announce a once off, big-ish reduction in immigration numbers for a year.

Grab the headlines/hashtags, take the wind out of the Coalition’s sails, win the election, then get back to our usual, sensible, long term immigration strategy in the hope that by the time the next election cycle comes around people aren’t quite so deranged about this.

Caveat that I don’t think this is sensible or the right thing to do by any means, this is purely thinking about what it might take to win the next election.
I'm voting independent I actually want a hung parliament (I believe quite a few people who moderate agree) so my comments are taken with a grain of salt.

But I don't think people will believe it, they need to nail cost of living whilst the coalition dog whistles about flags and woke.

I've always said, the biggest issue with Trump was giving these pathetic losers a louder voice.

Let's hope Australia is a tad more educated than the US
I don’t hold out much hope judging by the representation of these mindless ****s on this board. If there’s this many in here…

So Democracy is only unfortunate when it doesn't suit Henny Penny Jenny views on the candidates/Party?
