OR the countries that are supplying the products are going to be that scared of the hit on their own economy that they will cut their prices to ensure that americans will still purchase considering to most countries, the USA is the biggest consumer of their goods.

You reckon China will backdown. Remember how they retaliated against ScoMo? We are only just getting things back to normal for our industries, but sent many out of business thanks to ScoMo acting tough.
