Salty Democratics, oh love it..

I live in Adelaide. I’m neither salty about this result, or a Democrat.

I still find the windmilling you’re doing in this thread utterly ridiculous though.

The democratic cheerleaders and Hollywood elite couldn't help themselves four years ago could they? They had to lower themselves to the other side and have no grace in victory and talked lots of shit about Trump and supporters with unbelievable arrogance that it would never happen again.

Good ****ing job.

Breathtakingly bad

Republicans have flipped the Senate too

Extended their lead in the House and have a 6-3 stranglehold on the Supreme Court.

No guardrails against Project 2025 if they have the will for it.

So are all these celebrities and elites fleeing America tonight?

I did read Americans are experiencing record amounts of people moving away from blue territories to red territories. "Leftugees" was the term given.

While I don't give a s"" about either party I do find the behaviour from the fallout of such political events highly fascinating.

A brain drain of gynaecologists and obstetricians who don’t wish to be sued by religious zealots is pure dystopia lol

Yet you’re still trying to mock me for supporting for Trump.

Personally I don’t care who people vote but geez wiz a bit of banter no.

But it’s “windmilling” ok

I mean, they did win by a record margin against a political movement underpinned by Qanon (lol, memba?) that refused to accept defeat to the point of launching a coup.

Why isn’t Pence his running mate this time, again?

Oh, because the MAGA hats wanted to hang him for fulfilling his duties as Vice President.

Actually calling a duck a duck doesn’t prevent this bizarroworld outcome.

Hopefully Trump just blew smoke up RFK Jr’s opportunistic ass in order to get him and his alt-health wackos onside.

If you wanted to destroy a country’s ability to function, one of the things you’d do is get rid of school vaccine mandates as this bloke has dreamt of for years.
RFK wants Flouride out of water. I guess we'll update that old trope about the English and their teeth to be the Americans and their teeth.

I used to support the Republicans in the US (Reagan, Bush Sr.), as the strongest 'on the right side' of the Cold War, whilst growing up. I'm with those in the US that have left the Republican party that it's the Republicans in name only these days. They really need a centre-Right party there, that isn't filled with nut jobs, for those who'd never vote Democrat, but can't identify as Republican anymore. They now have enough ex-Republican reps from various levels of government, who are estranged from them, that they could do it, if they had the will. Unfortunately I don't think they do.

The same Washington Post owned by zillionaire Jeff Bezos, who personally intervened to prevent their editorial staff’s endorsement of Harris as part of a wider long-term strategy to boost conservative voices at that newspaper?

(The Washington Times he quoted leans conservative, btw).
Even in the back water thread of a footy forum as it turns out looking at the response to your post.

Well played Sir.

I mean, I didn't expect to prove my point so thoroughly and easily, but 🤷‍♂️

You gotta laugh, those that voted for him did it based on a "rich businessman is better to fix my cost of living issue" because of an errant belief that immigrants are causing the problem, ignoring the fact he's going to cut rich people's taxes at the expense of the government, putting more pressure on the poor guys

To quote another dumb campaigner, you get what you deserve.

It's just a shame there's going to be global ramifications - probably not as bad as the doomsday thoughts I've originally had, but still worse than the shitshow we had '16-20

At least no insurrection attempts this January I guess

I'm mocking you for carrying on like a pork chop in a thread you've started on a football forum, when the result—based on your stated location as Adelaide—has no bearing on your life whatsoever.

Are you a US citizen?
