So you are worried about a guy who won’t do or achieve anything ? That feels logical
I mean... he'll be an absolutely appalling POTUS, will weaken international relations and frameworks with allies and on available evidence thus far will accelerate the upwards distribution of wealth even more than currently. Doesn't seem ideal.

You think it’s possible now..Hmm a 180. I’m not sure why or how the Supreme Court can stop JD Vance from taking the political positions thst Donald Trump holds. I don’t think they can prevent JD from taking Trumps advice either. Is that even illegal? Where is it written
No idea what you're talking about here - wasn't your argument that Trump will remain in power after his 4 years in some kind of undemocratic coup? Of course the courts aren't going to prevent JD running or winning an election, its just the idea that Trump would particularly care about that happening which is perplexing. In fact if he or his are no longer involved in government and there's no more threat of legal action against him I'd actually suspect he'd prefer a Democrat victory after he's done, adds to his narcissist/only one who can fix it mythos.

You believe someone who controls every arm of government isn’t able to succeed or push through any policies? That seems odd. I’m assuming there is other world wide examples where someone held all branches of government but failed in their policies….
lol - Trump's first 2 years, 2016-2018?

I mean he got his tax cuts for the rich through, but how did his signature policy (the wall) go during that stretch? Its actually one of the main things I'm basing my thoughts on regarding his deporting of 12 million illegals being a complete furphy.

You think Trump will be too lazy to achieve his goals regarding deportation but are worried about Elon/Vivek controlling the presidency to the point we have nicknamed Elon as President Elon Musk? A bit of a contradiction given Elon wants to deport illegals
Basically. The amount of funding and manpower he needs to do it he won't get, and the knock-on effects to business would be catastrophic. And he doesn't really care about doing it - as we've already seen, he's a bit less fussed about immigrants now that he's won than you would have been led to believe on the campaign trail.

You're not worried about unelected billionaires controlling policy via their proximity to the president? lol ok, but as I said one of the main things that looks like happening in this scenario is an even greater disparity in wealth distribution, upwards. At least some in MAGA seem to be waking up to that at least, every chance Leon and Vivek are cast aside within a few months imo. But maybe not, Trump doesn't have to worry about re-election after all.

You believe Trumps kickbacks matter? Like it’s a new thing for a US political to enrich themselves based on their position… so this is a concern. Nah that’s business as usual
Yes mate I believe I literally used the phrase' business as usual' in relation to this. Try actually reading the thread, it helps :tearsofjoy:

All in all, cling onto hope for the next 4 years. It will make you happier. Just understand that’s all it is… hope
I'm not even sure what I'm supposed to be clinging to in your version of events. You appear to no longer be forming coherent responses based on what others are actually saying, rather it looks like you're just seeing a few trigger words and mashing the keyboard :drunk:

So history will repeat itself is all you are clinging onto yeah ?

Denial is all that is

Instead of using botox they should have gone for the tried and true Dem remedy, adrenachrome.
There you go mate, don't keep it bottled up let that cooker flag fly loud and proud :tearsofjoy:

That reminds me, HitTheNailOnTheHead any danger of confirming whether you're a stolen election guy or not?

for someone who's always banging on about slavery he seems reasonably blaise about it if it's just a whisker shy of.
If you wanna compare child slavery, slavery in places like Qatar which resulted in thousands of deaths to the plight of US farm workers, you are just being deliberately demonsrative

Children in mines in Congo are not comparable to US migrants on a farm mate....

Today I learnt everyone here is still stuck on the first stage of grief

Denial
Would appreciate a response to this one mate

Ok whoa whoa whoa - am I to understand you think there are still masks and checkins everywhere? While suggesting I should remain in my dystopia?
Any time you're ready :tearsofjoy:

I replied to a post where you said they would rather be in Europe then US

Thats not true at all. Working conditions are better in US. Its not even close.

Minimum working conditions for undocumented labour in the US are basically non-existent, as they aren't documented.

So the US will deport them, and then pay to fly them in from Europe. Well that solves that problem that didn't need to be created.

Because we know the migrant workers in Europe can't afford to fly to the US, let alone accommodation, food, transport etc etc.
Will they bring the families of the migrants if they currently live together in Europe?

I think the issue last tine is it needed to be B and it wasnt. He didnt rig the electorate out of sheer arrogance and it cost him big time. He isnt going to make that same mistake again im afraid
This is one of the main things I don't get about your take mate - do you mean he's simply going to get term limits abolished/extended and contest another election in '28? As opposed to remaining in power without an election?

Just a clear and concise statement. For example. -"Trump will start replacing undocumented labour in agriculture with H-1B visas in may of 2025"-.

Just to clear this up in my mind, GoEaglesGoSGIO.

You don't believe that Trump will ever start replacing undocumented labour in agriculture with H-1B visas?

Or if you do believe that he will, can you please give a rough statement like the example I gave.

The idea he will give up on deporting illegals for example feels more of a wish then a reality. Lets see what happens but I just think that isnt going to happen. He wont light a fire and sing koombaya in a circle with migrants like you are suggesting is all im saying
Deporting 12 million or singing koombaya with them being the only 2 options of course :tearsofjoy:

This is another weird thing you are doing, this nuance-free all or nothing framing. Bizarre, and telling imo as to the veracity of your arguments.

I think it isnt established yet. Wouldnt say one way or the other.

Im just saying HE CANT isnt correct. He can if he wants too. His desire to do so isnt really established. For now the focus is on well people who are from Venezuela/Haiti as he has stated

The president cant achieve anything he is trying too is more bizarre then anything im throwing down

You saying he will give up and not deport illegals is a nice thing in my eyes. You are suggesting he will leave them in peace?

bourbons has suggested when I asked if he will rig the electorate that he wont because its too hard. I think that is suggesting a concept of him doing the right thing.
No mate, the "too hard" was in relation to deporting 12 million illegals. He'll definitely do some, a much much smaller number than that then back off it - requires too much manpower, disruption of day to day law enforcement and impact on business, as I've said a few times now.

I've also said I don't think he'll rig the electorate by removing US citizens that form 2-3% of the democrat voting base - coz he can't, legally. You appear to have some off the wall thoughts about how he'd circumvent that which I don't buy for a second, like I said we'll see I guess.

Seriously - if you're going to engage like you have the last few days can you actually start reading what people are posting? I don't think its too much to ask :drunk:

So he will, or he won't... in your opinion?

Just most likely outcome, he will or he won't?

Not if he can or can't.

What do you think is the most likely outcome.
A. That he will start replacing undocumented labour in agriculture with H-1B visas.
OR
B. That he won't start replacing undocumented labour in agriculture with H-1B visas.

A or B, what's most likely in your opinion?

He has literally said he will use the military and not law enforcement.

Im sure all 12 million are working hard and contributing to the economy. How many do you think are btw? 80+% can be sent home tomorrow and no one going to care too much. Rest will have visa workers lining up.... unless you believe workers would rather work in 44 degree heat or work 19 hours a day in Europe instead?

I can accept he will keep farm workers... but keeping 5% of the illegals isnt a policy failure in my eyes. Removing 6.5 mill of 7.2 is a win
12 million was the figure bandied around during the campaign.

Categorically, he will not deport anything close to 6 million. Sig bet?

Homan has indicated they will deport so many illegals, new deportation jobs will open up around it.

Exciting new business opportunities will present themselves (think Jims Mowing but for deportation services,) growing the economy even further.

There will be similar opportunities for growth in the trans regret sector (this is where people have regretted transition - after Trump bans such procedures - and now need to trans back to their assigned birth gender.)

There is so much excitement for a Trump presidency it has hit me like nobody’s business.
Finally some rational concrete policy detail on how this all might be achieved, bless you Easty :tearsofjoy:
