The USAFL is a 25 team strong professional Australian Rules competition held across five conferences in the USA.
The Conferences are the North West, South West, Central, South East and North East. Most of these conferences are divided along state lines, except for California and Texas, which (for population and geographical reasons) are split in two. The conferences are also decided by population density, hence the North East being the smallest and the Central being the largest, so as to best reach a mass audience.
