Four time Premiership player Ken Tierney passed away last Sunday.

I lived alongside Tosser for several years and and he was a good neighbour as well as a Port Premiership player.

It seems every time I pick up the paper these days someone who made the PAFC great has left us.

My favourite memory of Ken Tierney was in a game at Adelaide oval against West Torrens when Lindsay Head was trying to be a bit too fancy on the member's wing and Ken came from behind him and took the ball out of Head's hand.

RIP
Ken Tierney

Tosser was probably the first Port player I ever saw close up. As kids we jumped the fence at Alberton and somehow managed to sit inside the fence for around a quarter. It all came to an end when Tosser almost cleaned one of our number up chasing a ball across the line. The Boundary Ump beckoned to officials and said "better get these bloody kids out of here".
