haha
That was just from 1 game, given Box Hill had a bye (strange this early) last weekend.

He got 10 votes for a 30 disposal game, with 1 tackle and didn’t hit the scoreboard??

Ed Allan gets only 1 vote for 25 disposals, 5 tackles, 1 goal game and Fin Macrae gets 3 votes for 25 disposals, 6 tackles and 2 goal game.....considering Brown got 10 votes for his game, Ed and Fin, l think a bit stiff!!!

Lentini was excellent in that game mate. Deserved a 4 though as Finlay deserved the 5. Edward also was better than a 1. A 3 at the very least.

I certainly wouldn’t have Markov higher than fin who had 25 dis, 2 goals 6 tackles and 7 clearances

weird votes. Markov & Ruscoe didnt do a whole lot from what I saw, whilst Finn dealt with taggers and still managed 25 + 2, and 5 clearances. Trent can also find the pill at this level, but never memorable. Much prefer it in Richards' hands, who always seems to impact / do something good when he has it

whomever played at FB with the blonde hair and long left boot also played well. Stopped plenty of chances and gave great rebound

Good to have this thread.

Leaderboard is interesting. Agree with others that it makes interesting reading.

Might also be an indication of who gets picked up in the MSD.

Surely Lowson gets picked up.

Jacob Dawson would also make a handy addition to a number AFL lists

I recall lowson was a real contender for MSD a few years back before he hurt his ankle

Tom Wilson’s zero votes is the thing that stands out to me.

For those comparing Cal Brown’s 10 votes to Fin’s 5, I presume this is the same voting system as the AFLCA player of the year where two voters are giving 5-4-3-2-1 votes respectively so not really comparable across games. Obviously both coaches were in agreement Cal was BOG in his match.

Different games so hard to compare. Both coaches had to rate him big to get the 10 votes so hard to argue he didn’t earn it.

Edit what T24 said.

They're voting on who they thought was BOG - not distributing votes to various stats. If both coaches give you best on ground, you get 10 votes and I daresay you were probably best on ground.

You think Cal Brown might have been sending a message? That 2x10’s and a 9 so far in 2023. He’s only played 3 games hasn’t he?

Yeah three games. Box hill already had a bye. Would be shocked if they didn’t look at him for MSD
