Big day of footy with Box Hill starting at 1.10pm and the Hawthorn game at 7.10pm.

Why not go to Preston on the train/public transport (Preston station is only 100m away or so!) and then go with the family/friends for a meal/drink in town before Hawthorn plays at the Dome? Too easy!!

Do it for Hawks1523 boys and the other BHH virgins! Then for yourselves. Then for the supporters who follow week in, week out for little or no reward (but we still go and try and have fun :)

And the good thing about going by train, is that your metcard gets you in for free at Preston :thumbsu:

If you want to save an extra couple of bucks, instead of buying the record, you can actually download it for nothing on Friday arvos at the Official VFL site, plus the team lists :)

Talk about penny pinching! :p

I figured Preston isn't too far, probably 15 minute train ride for me, and haven't gont to a Box Hill match before, so I'll go this week. :thumbsu:

Good stuff, can listen on radio at the game, watch the recorded replay once back from the Hawthorn game!! Great day of footy-tainment. Hopefully both Hawks sides get up!

Anyone else going to lend Box Hill support before heading to the dome? Given the Box Hill game will probably finish around 3.30ish, will prob go straight to the city for a few beers before arriving at the Dome about 6.15pm.

From the back line....

Box Hill Hawks:

B: Carey Markovic McQueen-Miscamble
HB: Breese Morrell Suckling
C: Batsanis Lewis Neville
HF: Gibson Dowler Stokes
F: Hunter Dawson Pedersen
R: Walsh Marcius Clarke

Int: Grima Warby Bayliss Smithwick Nye Neil Cross Kelleher

Thorpey on a training block?

Not many Hawk listed players available. It's hard to compete with teams like the Bullants who will have upwards of 12 Carlton listed players available tomorrow.

No Thorp, who was rumoured in another thread to have had his appendix removed (who hasn't at Hawthorn this year!). No Whitecross, Bailey, Crawford, Muston, Thorp, Boyle, McGlynn, Moss, Dew, Renouf, Kennedy & McEntee this week, has made a mess of poor old Box Hill. No Kenna either.

Hawkamania is down from Darwin and I believe going to the game before heading back into the city for the big game at the Dome.

Top bloke :thumbsu: be good if he could meet up with some fellow BFers.

PM him or me and I can put you in touch.

Big Ronnie, you going?

Cheers

Q1

Box Hill: 02.02.014

Bullants: 00.01.01

Box Hill kicking with a raging wind

Box Hill Goal kickers
Brad Neil 1

6 - Markovic playing down back and playing well including an excellent smother.

Another goal to Box Hill. Hawk rookie Alex Grima

Good movement of the ball from backline to forwards - Dawson left foot to batsanis handball to Dowler playing on the wing who kicks to Alex Grima leading out and he goes back and kicks a goal from 48.

Box Hill: 03.02.20

Bullants: 00.01.01

Another goal to the Hawks and 2nd goal to no 12 Brad Neil after Beau Dowler again supplies the kick to which Neil was able to easily run onto and mark.

Box Hill 04.02.26

Re: Box Hill team

20 minutes into 1st quarter.

BHH - 4.2.26
Bul - 0.1.1

Dowler has 8 touches playing as a utiliy. 2 Goal assists with nice passes onto the chest of leading forwards.
Clarke dominating - would say 10+ possessions for opening quarter.

Other Hawthorn players have been a bit quiet.

Another goal from BHH late in the quarter.

Hawks up by 6 goals, but a massive breeze at our backs. We won't really know the true feel until half time.

Great quarters from Dowler and Clarke. Really carving it up and looking a grade above.

Goal to No14 Marcius after getting a free kick inside the forward 50.

Quarter time and their equal best quarter for the year.

Box Hill: 06.04.40

Bullants: 01.01.07

+ 33

Neil 2
Dowler 1
Grima 1
Marcius 1
Hunter 1

Dowler's looking good! So to are Tim Walsh (great grab backing into pack) and Timmy Clarke.

No Kennedy, Tuck, Lewis, McGlynn, Boyle, McEntee, Moss, Thorp, Whitecross.

What's the story Rusty 'Inside Man' Mod??

Yeah, Walsh has looked good too. Am a little surprised he's playing side by side on the opposite ruckman in the contests. I've heard that his biggest strength is his leap. Not sure why he isn't using it more.

Bullants just scored their second...
