West Ham, Tony Pulis hat
I went to the West Perth v Swans game and got hammered. Finally made my way home. Only one Eagle in action, Tony Notte who had a mixed game. Took some fabulous marks but wasnt in damaging places and his disposal was a bit meh. Got 1 goal 1 for the day

Natanui started off in defence on a small forward (Brent LeCras) and got towelled but when he went into the ruck he was sensaitonal. Clearance work is scary good.

I hope we get Chris Yarran. This guy screams 200 game footballer. He could play AFL in his sleep. Like Daniel Motlop so much its scary too

Did the Swannies win Embers? When the ABC last flashed to the scoreboard the scores were being taken down and they weren't sure about the result.

Just use Footygoss.com for WAFL results mate. It was a close one but ill let the result go unnamed. Dont wanna hurt chrscos feelings :D.

Yarran got 4 goals btw and set up 2.

Players like Ziebell, Robinson and Zahakaris (sp?), Vickery, Heyne etc are getting talked up more and more each day. Yarren will not go top 10 anymore. I think one factor is he is a top age player and a lot of bottom agers are really starting to make a name for themselves pushing what looked like top 10 picks back. e.g Jack Watts.

Its going to be an extremely strong draft.

You must have been smashed because Notte kicked 3 goals 4 or 5. Brilliant in the first half, looking at him you thought he could be some FF, then went a bit missing in the second half.
Naitanui is an interesting one because he is, as you say, a scary clearance machine, he's better on the deck. Kicking was quite good today and took one nice mark and kicked a nice goal.
Yarran, he is the one that poses the most dilemma for me. Can win a game or do stuff all. He screams Chris Lewis at me but he has sublime skills, especially that third quarter goal where he shimmied past half the WP defence to kick the goal from the boundary.

I wanted to be smashed with you but I took second best option, just got back from dismantling the WP members!

The only thing I can say is thank god the Eagles didn't recruit Hinkley!

He's not really that top age, he only turned 17 last December, so he's not going to be 18 before the draft. I see huge upside with him, after his game today I would be tempted to look at him with no 2, unless you think Rich is going to mature more than him.

Watching the Subi demolition of Claremont, Lewis Stevenson looked pretty good. Was still running in the last quarter and his vision and disposal were clean.

Geez sometimes I wish we'd kept Brad Smith :(

Yep, been impressed with the little I've seen of Stevenson. He's a project player so he won't be seen for at least another year but I remember Worsfold picking his pace and kicking as his "key" attributes.

Seems to be cycles with players and how highly they're rated. But a lot of the sliding is going on in the minds of BigFooty posters so we can't really say if he'll slide or not come draft day. There have been some questions on his work ethic I believe though.

Would love to grab him.

Go Falcons. :)

Did you go? Great game and I shouldn't be pissed because I expected to lose, but I am filthy! You and your extra players - number 44 from Swans!

Planned on it but couldn't attend in the end. Combination of car problems and waking up at 1pm feeling like crap. Was pissed it wasn't on TV as well, better than watching Subi destroy Claremont any day of the week.

How did Walters, Pearce, Gartlett and Wolfenden go, chrsco/Embers?

Walters did an ankle early so didn't have a lot of impact on the game. Can't wait to see him be given a full game because he moves well and makes the most of his disposals.

Pearce - super impressed again. He keeps moving up in my estimation because he has a penetrating kick off the HB line, generally spots a target, but also seemed to do more around the ground.

Garlett and Wolfenden were, well Garlett and Wolfenden. They seem to have hit a fairly consistent level, Wolfy gets more of the ball than Garlett but by golly is Garlett dangerous around goals and attacking from the wing.

M2M - Hill was reasonable, used his pace but doesn't make as good decisions as Pearce, IMO. There is still a lot to like about the way he attacks and goes about his football, just got caught in 2 minds a bit today in parts I saw. Mind you, it was a pretty high level intensity match, never more than 2-3 goals between the teams.

Haha are you for real. Notte got 3? When was this? I must admit I was much more attentive in the 2nd half where Notte didnt have much of a impact

IMO Yarrans laziness and what looks to be a bad attitude may mean he slides to pick 17. Dont know why but he strikes me as someone I wouldnt like to play with. Risky but we can take a risk this year

You honestly reckon its laziness? It seems to me he is just one of those guys who appears to do everything at 3 quarter pace because it all comes so easy to him, couple that with him being a finesse player (rather than one who seeks contact) and you get your classic brilliant/mercurial guy who will at times not get the ball and drive fans nuts.

I rate him very highly, could come in next year as a small forward and be an immediate threat.

We can thank the AFL again for dominating he we keep and who we get rid of F**KIN AFL they piss me off.....
