So it was an interesting first weekend of results. Claremont winning the first game of the season tripped up most, whilst Souths and Subi won comfortably on Sunday as tipped by the vast majority.

The other Saturday games were very close and separated most of the tipsters. Both East Perth and Peel came from behind at 3QT to win tight matches at home.

Freezin was our closest margin tipster, in fact the only person to tip the Tigers!

For those that said they would be in the comp but didn't submit tips, I've given you equal lowest score (1).

Round 2 is a full traditional Saturday slate, all at 2.10pm.

Channel 7 is covering Claremont vs South Freo, in one of two clashes featuring winners from last round.
Sport FM is also covering this game on the Radio.

The other match featuring winners is Subiaco vs East Perth, at the Leederville Oval derby. This will be SEN radio also.

The rest are a mixture of teams who will all be desperate to get things moving: WP vs WC, SD vs EF and Peel vs Perth.
Swans vs East Freo is the margin game.

As a reminder, the AFL website has all WAFL (and VFL) games covered live, so please enjoy these.

Good luck!

Have joined now! Thought I had tipped rd 1 and definitely forgot last week! Year is probably shot for winning but will have a crack anyway. Go Swannies!

A strange round, with the Falcons absolutely destroying the undermanned Eagles, Peel dominating Perth and Claremont making a statement over the Bulldogs.
Meanwhile EP and EF won as road underdogs over the Lions and Swans, in terrific performances.

Kram and gaskin both nailed the Sharks and a 4 point margin, so take 0.5 bonus each.

We now have two new leaders. Great solid tipping from both GarryLion and SebV, both on 8 points. Everyone still close enough!

Turning our minds to round 3, and we have some major battles this week.

Our margin game is at Leederville Oval, with Subi hosting Claremont in the Golden Triangle derby. Claremont have started terrifically, with 2 wins and only conceding 70 points thus far.
They are deserved premiership favourites and will be hard to beat.

Then we have a balanced match at Fremantle Oval between South Fremantle and Peel Thunder. Peel are also undefeated, but Souths need to get moving with their 8 premiership point penalty, and can't afford to drop too many early matches.

Saturday night sees 0-2 Perth hosting 2-0 East Perth, who have started with two solid wins. Should be a tight match and could go either way, Perth desperate to win, EP desperate to maintain their momentum.

We then have 2 games on Sunday afternoon.
Firstly, Swans host West Perth. West Perth are coming off an historically large win over WC reserves and will look to continue this. Whilst WC are clearly undermanned and not a genuine challenge for strong teams, the crushing win does support their premiership credentials.

Finally, those undermanned WC Reserves take on East Fremantle. Could be ugly again!

Good luck all!

Round 3 saw some interesting results, but mostly true to form, with most getting 3 or 4, and Subiaco beating Claremont bowling everyone over except for Freezin, who therefore gets that tip AND the bonus margin point!
WC were beaten by >100 points again, and Wests and Easts both continued their charge forward. Peel were no match for Souths, who are getting form together themselves.

The unmasked GarryLion leads outright on 12 points, followed by SebV, AsterixTheGaul and myself on 11.

This week, we have an early Saturday fixture between East Freo and Perth at the WACA, so get your tips in!
East Freo are looking strong but Perth are winless and will be desperate for a victory.
East Perth look to continue their unbeaten start to the season at home to Peel, who were humbled by Souths at the same time as their parent club were humbled in the AFL.
There are 2 traditional 2.10pm, both of which should be intriguing. West Perth and Subi will both want to maintain their strong starts to the season, and WP may get the edge slightly with home field, whilst in Freo, Souths take on Swans who are also winless.

Finally, the bye round for Claremont, as they host West Coast on Sunday afternoon at home.

Good luck all!

Hi all, so just catching up.
Round 4 was a tougher round, with only Freezin nailing 4/5, and also getting the nearest margin (tipping 32 points for the Sharks win).

However, Round 5 was a bit easier for the field, with several 4s and 5s. I flukily got the margin this week!

After 5 rounds, Claremont, Peel and Subiaco now tied atop the ladder. West Coast remain winless, and South Freo are only getting up to 0 points now!

This week, all games are on Saturday, 4 in the afternoon, including Swans hosting Claremont in our margin game. We also have Perth vs Falcons, Royals/Bulldogs and Peel vs the Bye.

Finally, twilight at the WACA, sees East Freo vs Subiaco in the match of the round.

Good luck all!

Round 6 was a mixed bag, with WC and Perth again being thrashed, but some upsets with East Perth and Subiaco going down.

Claremont and Peel now a game clear at the top, and WC remain winless.

AsterixTheGaul is our weekly winner with a margin of 3. Well done!
Many of us got 4/5, no one 5/5.
