Current WAR CRIMES Israel - * ICC issues warrants for Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu & Yoav Gallant & for Hamas's Mohammed Deif

The ICC has also issued a warrant for Hamas leader Mohammed Deif, who Israel says they have killed.

According to the ICC, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that Deif was “responsible for the crimes against humanity of murder; extermination; torture; and rape and other form of sexual violence; as well as the war crimes of murder, cruel treatment, torture; taking hostages; outrages upon personal dignity; and rape and other form of sexual violence”.

It also said there were reasonable grounds to believe the crimes against humanity were “part of a widespread and systematic attack directed by Hamas and other armed groups against the civilian population of Israel”.

For Netanyahu and Gallant, who was replaced as defence minister earlier this month, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that they “each bear criminal responsibility for the following crimes as co-perpetrators for committing the acts jointly with others: the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts”.

It also found reasonable grounds to believe that “each bear criminal responsibility as civilian superiors for the war crime of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population”.

They should talk to the PA who's working with Israel to maintain order.

The PAs been using Israel's equipment. They all know now for people on the West Bank, it's very unsafe and becoming deadly.

none of the.claims

entrances to Ramallah, Hebron, Bethlehem

They additionally shutdown all entrances to Hebron, which has effectively cut off thousands of Palestinians from neighboring communities and largely prevented children from attending schools, and residents from reaching work.

That's at least one of the claims.

Thirteen new iron gates were reportedly installed at entrances of towns across the Occupied West Bank.

OHCHR don't specify what towns these were installed at.

AJ reports Bethlehem as one of the impacted location along with Hebron as the OHCHR report mentions:

Israeli soldiers have set up military checkpoints and closed roads, preventing Palestinians from entering or leaving cities, towns and villages across the occupied West Bank, Palestinian media reports.

According to Palestinian media, Israeli forces have:
  • Closed all entrances to Hebron.
  • Closed all entrances to Qalqilya.
  • Closed all entrances to the city of Salfit as well as several towns and villages in the Salfit governorate.
  • Are closing all entrances to Bethlehem.

I'm sure LLD can provide their own sources when they get around to it, but there's no doubt Israel are closing off or restricting access at various locations in the occupied West Bank.

I'm sure Israel asked for PA permission before all of these actions.

Especially the settlers.

You're kidding yourself if you think Israel and the PA don't have direct communications over security issues

I’m sure Israel does when it suits them to do so.

All those settlers in the west bank aren’t snatching land because the PA are asking them to come on in.
The PA have limited if any authority to stop them. The settlers are in Area C of the West Bank which is under Israeli administrative and security control. This is where all the settlers are.

Nope.

7 outposts have been built deep inside Area B, and IDF have signed an order giving the Civil Admin the power to demolish Palestinian buildings in B. Demolition notices have been flowing.

Not exactly inspiring.

Trump’s pick for UN ambassador dodges question on Palestinian rights

Elise Stefanik, US President Donald Trump’s nominee to be the United States ambassador to the United Nations, refused to say whether she believes Palestinians have a right to self-determination.

However, she did say she agrees that Israel has a “biblical right” to the entire occupied West Bank.

The PA is increasingly an Israeli sock puppet, but even so blaming the PA for Israeli oppression and terror tactics is a bit rich.

Those are apparently recent and inhabited by only a few settlers and considered illegal by Israel. Mostly just tin sheds. The overwhelming majority of settlers are in C. Hopefully the new outposts in B are removed.

As for the IDF order, doesn't it pertain to properties built in the agreed-upon reserve which Palestinians aren't supposed to be building in either? Israel can only demolish buildings in A and B proper in exceptional circumstances. These are edge cases and not generally how things go between areas A, B and C.

Why anyone would want to live here is beyond me :eekv1:

Except I didn't do that and we were talking about the OHCHR concerns. You've gone wide simply to take a crack and it's totally unnecessary.

Because someone has to start the ball rolling.

These lands are all biblically promised, the claim must be staked, Palestinians must be displaced.

This is how most settlements begin - an outpost is built/stolen, it grows, they become settlements, then they become de facto Israel. I think you know all this.

What is the 'agreed-upon reserve'? A Bibi invention to prevent Palestinian development after reneging on the Interim Agreement already signed by Rabin. Areas which Palestinians would have building authority over - but not be allowed to build on.

5 of these illegal Israeli outposts are in the 'agreed upon reserve'. So we have Area B where Palestinians aren't allowed to build, but Israelis are. They can't even stick to their already one-sided agreements.

You can claim these are edge cases, but this has all developed in the last 12 months.

Those were actually the homes of Palestinians, trying to eke out an existence as permanent POWs on their own land, not allowed to build or improve them.

They've now been expelled and have been replaced by Israeli settlers.

Pretty harsh of you.

Let's move away from a critique of what the dwellings and surrounds look like.

It's irrelevant if the claim to ownership is legitimate.
Odd the things people pearl clutch over. I guess I should be casting doubt on credible sexual assault claims or making unfounded posts about Ashkenazi Jews stealing babies instead of pointing out the absurdity of Israeli settlers choosing to establish outposts and live in the middle of nowhere in what is essentially a buffer zone where at any time their buildings could be pulled down.

You could have said that simply, without the fluff and mocking sarcasm and probably flown under the radar.

If I thought their criticism was remotely legitimate and not just faux outrage, I would have. No point explaining yourself to trolls. It's essentially what they want you to do.
