interesting to see its believed warnock has the blues as his preferred destination, what would we give for him if he doesnt go into the preseason draft, because clearly the dees would take him........and would boyle or lovett be worth a punt?

We'd probably have to give up pick 24 and maybe a lesser name player for Warnock.
I'd personally love to see Boyle at Carlton next year, he'd be great up forward for us and would take alot of the pressure of Fev.

To be honest i dont think we need warnock. let Hammer, Kruez and Cloke share ruck. Have either Kruze or Cloke as resting forward.

In couple of years we will have Hammer and Kruez as a ready ruck duo.

Lovett doesnt appeal, neither does Boyle.

Exactly. Both Kruez and Hammer are a couple of years off, we need a good tap ruckman now! Warnock is where Hammer will be in three years.

We need Warnock now, and hammer to sit in the two's to develop, and then cloke to play as a second tall.

Don't need Boyle. Get Warnock and it means Kreuzer and Cloke can spend more time forwward. Kreuzer can play a McKernan/Salmon role alternating between ruck and forward. Maybe Cloke can play FP, Kreuzer CHF in parts with Cloke going to CHF when Kreuzer rucks. That or Cloke plays CHF and Kreuzer plays FP when not rucking. Either way getting Warnock allows that type of flexibilty with Cloke/Kreuzer. Gives Hampson developing time as we don't know where Cloke will be in 3 years.

At this point I read today that Carlton are offering a 2nd round pick. They key is to get Warnock to nominate Carlton as his one preferred destination. Being out of contract it makes it easier to get him then as he can threaten to walk and play with his brother for nothing. Freo would want something. 2nd round only should get it done if that happens and it's not a bidding war. Remember he has played only 21 games and went to Freo only as pick 42.

Need to keep pick 6 for the best KP forward available so he develops in time for when Fev gives it away.

exactly my thoughts.

I would offer Blackwell in the deal also.

How happy does it make you now to hear words like "it is believed his preferred destination is Carlton" ?

Such a turnaround from when Aker was on his bike.

Thank you Richard, Greg and Stephen. :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

On face value it appears great....then with a little closer reading you spot two words that rips the arse out of any credibility to the story:

Greg Denham

Of recent note, he believed Fev, should he stay out of contract, was a chance of falling through to the Swans via the PSD.

Last year he had Danny Frawley as "a lock" as Voss' "mentor" as the Blues restructured the coaching.

Lets just say, his mail can be somewhat astray.:D

I hear ya Bear, but my main point is how it's just so good to know that we have the potential to have "preferred destination" status with homesick desirables, whereas 3 years ago we were like that Leper Island in Papillon.

We're in the middle of August, in line for a top 4 spot. One of them goes down with an 8 week injury. Where does that leave us?

Depth is an integral component to any premiership side. Warnock, Kreuzer and Hampson would give us the best young ruck combination in the league, with a more than suitable backup if all three proceed as expected. Hell, we could even play Kreuzer predominantly up forward and have Hampson and Warnock share the ruck duties on game day.

I'd be more than happy giving up our pick 24 for Warnock. Even if, 4 years down the line, one of Hampson/Warnock become disillusioned and after more game time, you can bet that if they have developed into capable ruckmen, they'd be worth a bit more than pick 24.

Blackwell or Benjamin wouldn't get you Kepler Bradley in trade week...

Warnock pick 24 or nothing.

No to adding anything more than a fringe player.

Warnock isn't worth adding Browne, Bower or even Armfield to the deal.

No to trading any pick to the scum of the Earth for Andrew Glovehit.

Would rather draft Charlie Sharples.

Boyle - pre-season draft if he's there.

But he wouldn't stiff the Hawks and nominate for the PSD unless Felcher asks for too much for a player they don't need.

Noticed the Oz mentioned Boyle being in contention for a game in the finals.

They're just trying to drive up his price.

Scum.

Hard to see Boyle getting past Melbourne and Port if he stiffs them and nominates for the PSD.

Hawthorn have another thing coming if they think we will trade with Felcher.

You're dead right!! why sit around for another few years waiting to see IF Hammer develops???
Warnock to the Blues would be a great thing i think:thumbsu:
