So BBL 7 is about to finish / is finished and the Strikers have won. However I believe that the Strikers have been significantly helped by BBL. Whenever they have a big game they seem to get back a key player or two who is released from the Australian squad. This hasn't ever happened this much.
JackOutback put it better than me
"The inconsistency around releasing players is frustrating, but it's incompetence, not conspiracy. It's like they realised too late just how popular BBL has become and how important it is to have your best players out there. I can see some scheduling changes next year.
But otherwise, it's just congrats to the Strikers, equal best most of the season, performed better in the finals. Good on 'em."
I'm not saying that the Strikers aren't a worthy winner I'm saying that the releasing of players was done slightly unfairly.
