I like this classic photoshop job. Looks like it was done by the work experience kid. :laughv1:

Have to do something about those drones flying overhead.

Perhaps the incoming Prez can contact Biden to get him to divert some of the NASAMS going to Ukraine.

Okay, interesting.
I haven't had a look at our financial report so I'm ignorant here, but what makes us a wealthy club now that we have sold the pokies? Do we still have enough income streams?

Economists love to draw a distinction between wealth and income.

Quick and simple example is old age pensioners who live in houses now worth squillons... have wealth but no income to pay rates...

Not exactly dingley related but will be interesting to see how the Hawks AFLW program splits games between dingley and redoveloped box hill when they are both completed

The debacle of finals venues for the AFLW is further evidence that it should move to align with the AFL season. If so, we really don’t need a spectator facility at Dingley. We will have a better one already. And we don’t have to pay for it!

Is she saying we should stay at Waverley?

Uses Collingwood as an example of staying inner city. Helps when a corrupt process allows for the demolition of Olympic park for your training ground
Also didn’t they move from there spiritual home of vic park for “better facilities” aswell…

Listening to Vanders this afternoon he stated the players are really excited about how good the Kennedy centre is going to be and have already started moving to bayside suburbs.

Lewis mentioned last week at the announcement that he lives 10 minutes away and that others are in Highett, Bentleigh and surrounds, so I’m laughing at opposition fans and media suggesting this is anything close to “when Saints moved to Seaford”.

For the record from Westfield Southland to Dingley is an 8 minute drive.

How was essendons new facility a failure?
Not a failure. But it’s soulless, in the middle of an industrial estate next to an Airport, and it’s full of w***ers.

But Dingley is so hard to reach!

It might shock the older people but club heartlands are no longer a thing in 2022
Can someone please confirm for me that both Dingley and Waverly are about the same distance to the MCG but Dingley is closer to the bay. I'm not originally from Vic so trying to work out what is the issue here.

According to the CEO Dingley is closer to the MCG(or at least faster, as it’s 2km difference by road).

A better render

But I'm not about their version of John Kennedy

Not so much "Don't Think...DO!" as much as "Hey Trev, fetch me the torque wrench will ya?"

It's much of a muchness as someone who lives a stone's throw from the G. Only advantage is Bunjil Bagora is a straight shot whereas Dingley you have to switch roads a bit. I would much rather the drive to Bunjil Bagora despite my utter contempt for the Monash. I think with the exiting roads etc you run the risk of more congestion and delays than you do heading to Mulgrave.

Caro trying to do her best to unify Hawks fans...https://twitter.com/1116sen/status/1595236189497425920?s=20&t=qEpurje004r4lywpoJ2InA

Inner city is all well and good - but the turf where the Demons and Pies train is hardly that good and their facilities are fairly tiny, particularly the Demons who have to share AAMI Park with 3 other sides. There's also no capacity for them to expand - same with Richmond. We are already in the outer eastern suburbs so moving to a different one isn't going to hamper player retention/recruitment if we can already get people to the club when they have to go to Mulgrave.

But have we really got people to come to the club lately? Ladder position aside...

Is there a train line nearby? Possible detour for a future station for games/training/students coming for the sports science university?
