Surprisingly, essendon (their Tullamarine facility is actually very good. It's just miles from anywhereIt's hard not to be impressed looking at that. Who else has facilities that even come close?

Yes, but it takes 20 minutes from essendon to get there. There's also a distinct lack of anything so the players are captive to the club CafeNot far from Essendon..
10km from Essendone but in the opposite direction to what you’d probably want to be travelling if you are a young afl player. Not far from Essendon..

I think big footy cyril was just trying to “Needle” you.10km from Essendone but in the opposite direction to what you’d probably want to be travelling if you are a young afl player.
Whereas KKC is 10km from Waverley but towards an even better area.
I know I’m biased but I’d take travelling to KKC any day over travelling to The Hanger
Just wait til the KCC gets done with Stages 2 and 3.....
They were replying to me.I think big footy cyril was just trying to “Needle” you.
Was wondering what the phase 2 plans were!Imagine how much further you could see it from if they were to add the Matt Spangher spire onto the roof...

Yeah it’s a monster, pics don’t do it justice. This place is huge. Figured you could see it from the Mornington Peninsula Fwy, but you can actually see it towering up from half way down Dingley Bypass.
Funny you should mention other supporters saltiness, the last several social outings with friends and family Xmas beers etc when talk comes round to footy everyone is talking about it, the size of the place, the two ovals and surprisingly how it’s going to set us up for decades. All this with zero prompting from me. I just smile and think “sucks to be you” and quietly drink my beer. Gunna headf@$k a lot of people when it opens.I'm enjoying some of the salt from oppo supporters on that Facebook post![]()
I still remember so many claiming online that the project would bankrupt the club, that it would never actually get started or be completed. That we’d overpaid for a contaminated plot, etc.Funny you should mention other supporters saltiness, the last several social outings with friends and family Xmas beers etc when talk comes round to footy everyone is talking about it, the size of the place, the two ovals and surprisingly how it’s going to set us up for decades. This is so trueI still remember so many claiming online that the project would bankrupt the club, that it would never actually get started or be completed. That we’d overpaid for a contaminated plot, etc.
Soon it will be tears about how much of an advantage it is.
Understand the urge to lure Spangher away from dogs and to coach at Hawthorn - but phase 2 seems a rather bold step. Was wondering what the phase 2 plans were!
& that was just our own fansI still remember so many claiming online that the project would bankrupt the club, that it would never actually get started or be completed. That we’d overpaid for a contaminated plot, etc.

100%. The peninsula etc. We can sell a lifestyle to players now10km from Essendone but in the opposite direction to what you’d probably want to be travelling if you are a young afl player.

I drove passed it yesterday from both directions (not at once, obviously- but only because my gearbox wouldn't allow it ) and it really is an imposing spectacle whichever way you approach it, but especially from the city heading SE. The fact that it is built on a hill overseeing the surrounding area only adds to the grandeur. If anyone is planning on being anywhere in the general area it is worth a diversion just to have a quick look. It will certainly make the club a standout feature of that region and it has to be good for our profile for that reason alone. Nobody could drive passed it without noticing it and being a little awed.Yeah it’s a monster, pics don’t do it justice.
It really is.The fortress on the hill. Love it.
Hope it's not a windy hill. The fortress on the hill. Love it.
