Yes but he's only 2 years into his career and didn't play that role he made midfield in, which was inside/extractor.

He's mostly played outside receiver/wing for WCE, due to Yeo and Reid being the inside bulls.

Wherever he ends up I have no doubt he'll be a very good player though.

Even Wardlaw's not even a great example, though people will use him to compare to Ginbey to shit on Reuben.

Bloke averages just over 3 disposals more than Ginbey anyway.

Clearly a better clearance player though.

People are just seduced by the likes of Daicos, Sheezel, Ashcroft getting big numbers when they are far and away the outliers.

Showing as much as you say is surely a good thing in the limited time he has played midfield. Lot's of upside and has a good footy pedigree. Will be a good player. Go and watch how he is using his footy smarts in tight. Sees ball gets it I'm convinced he will be a good midfielder. Time will tell I guess.

M Reid has been dudded in that it's going to be really hard for him to get games at Freo. He's not breaking into their midfield at the HFF has Boltan and Walters to get past. I can easily see him asking for a trade after 2 years.

I'm glad we didn't get him as we already have a bunch of young guys to develop at HF.

But lets be honest, if there was an online dating app for people who desperately wanted to meet young fit half back flankers in your area who can sorta but not really play a bit of midfield, you just know our recruiting staff would be frantically inputting their credit card details before the ad had even finished.
