Are people seriously writing off Beau Allen already šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

FKASC could you please kindly spell it out for them, as to why them should not incorrectly write him off ?

I'm really happy with this selection. He and Ginbey can cause Havoc off HB for a few years and then roll into mids once Yeo and Kelly move out. Getting that extra third rounder from Port makes it even better.

So far in the draft/trade period we've done well to improve our best 22, with Baker, Graham and now Allan likely starters. I didn't love what we paid for Baker, but this result has probably saved us from ourselves.

Happy with the pick 3 split in isolation. I think Jagga Smith is going to be a massive bust, just like Tsatas a few years before.

What's your take on Ginbey/Hewett instead of Sheezel? Admittedly it's only 2 years on.

Sheezle is ahead of Ginbey but Ginbey is no bust. Neither are full time mids, so I think that criticism of Ginbey is unfair (for those that bemoan us not taking Sheezle).

If Hewett comes on, then I think splitting was hands down the better option. I'm optimistic he will based on the start of preseason.

Sheezel hasn't missed a game and is a BNF winner in year two of his AFL career. Ahead is Ginbey is an understatement.

We also werenā€™t getting Sheezel if we didnā€™t do the trade- North wouldā€™ve kept pick 1 so they could get him

Weā€™d have Cadman

Sheezle still has a long way to go to live up to his hype. I want to see him get into the middle full time and perform before declaring him a star.

Ginbey is shaping as a mobile, counter-attacking CHB. They're just as valuable as midfielders. If Hewett then become a good mid, our drafting team absolutely nailed the pick split.

Dunno about that fam. They aren't mutually exclusive, Sheezel can still be a star whilst Ginbey is a good player, it doesn't have to be one or the other. People get so scared about Sheezel being good they throw shade at him to make themselves feel better about the pick split.

Sheezel this year moved into the midfield, was voted into the Roo's leadership group as a second year player, won their B&F and averaged 30 odd disposals, kicking 14 goals on his way to being named in the initial AA squad of 40 and winning the AFLCA best young player award.

That's on top of all the awards he collected in his first season.

He also polled 15 Brownlow votes, which is more than anyone from WCE did, by a fair margin.

What else can he do exactly to "live up to his hype"? Set a new record for most goals kicked in a season?

The Ginbey vs Sheezle is not the conversation that needs to take place.
Itā€™s Hewett versus Sheezle in the guts, obviously the Western Australian comes out on top cos heā€™s awesome, and the couple of possessions Cheezel does get, man beast Ginbey would mop them up from half back anyway.
Sheezleā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦.pfffffftttttttt

He is a complete bust as a midfielder(the reason we drafted him was believing he could play midfield) not a complete bust because he goes good in the backline as long as he doesnā€™t kick to often.
Problem is we desperately need young A grade genuine mids and we have drafted one in the last 4 years of our rebuild šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

Are you an actual WC fan?

You are coming across as a troll Hawks supporter pretending to be an Eagles fan.

Hehe, fighting a losing battle Squash.

Here fam, he actually looks a bit like Judd in this vid. Definitely his best, most impactful performance where you can see him fight through tackles and show his speed and athleticism properly.

Just love it when the commentators donā€™t know the names of the players they are commenting on so just waffle
