Looks like he enjoys the hype. Times are changing and these kids have been on tv and getting analysed for years.
I don't think he's going to mind seeing a bunch of 9 jerseys around the place (I got mine lol). Or his face getting promoted by the club.

Media on the other hand are different. Perth media can be pretty bad at trying to bring people down. Though it'd be crazy for them to kill the golden goose. If he stays in Perth he will give them the endless fluff articles like they've done with Nic or Fyfe in the past.

Welcome Harley reid to the greatest and richest club in the land.

Great players go to great clubs. Sorry norf

Don't worry about media and us hyping him too much. The second he plays and is positioned in a non hype position aka BP/HB or FP then all the pressure is gone. Since his expectation is a gun mid but if we put/start him out of position the pressure is gone.

When Reid touches down we need to show him the love and support.

This isn't dumb**** norf where he plays in empty stadiums. He plays for 100k supporters. So any career moves he makes he will be reminded of 100k members breathing down his neck

Vardy? Thought he went back to Dandenong?

Should be fine, provided Vardy doesn't forcefully obsess over the QR code tattooed on his foot and make Reid watch it multiple times a day.

Or it could indoctrinate him.

Whatever works, I guess.

Said barcode does not work anymore haha

Also yeah i thought he moved back home with his family? The players even did a " wedding" for him leaving in 2021.

You
Get what you're saying Chadd. I see McClure/Cornes etc clown brigade carrying on next year as positive.
Will likely galvanise the younger guys further...& hopefully get some older ones out of cruise mode. Not naming anyone, we know.
I remember an interview with Judd when he said Cousins stated they could beat Brisbane, who were a giant at the time, with run.
I love that steel and belief.
Hopefully Sam McClown & Kornknob go the way of Robert Walls...won't hold my breathe though.
Feel very good about the young fellas we have recruited this past coupla, will enjoy watching the development.
Yeah Reid already has clapper back at him a few times even without being on a list

He’s going to have a long commute from Warrnambool to Mineral Resources Park then. Calling bulldust on this.

West Coast Eagles No.1 pick Harley Reid arrives in Perth as AFL journey set to begin

Boom West Coast recruit Harley Reid has arrived in Perth to start his AFL career.
Reid landed in WA this afternoon and his power knows no bounds given at a time where flights are constantly being delayed, his plane landed more than half an hour early.
Reid was met by a host of West Coast players including Oscar Allen, Elliot Yeo and Noah Long. Eager fans were quick to ask for photos and autographs. Reid said it was great to be in WA.
“I’m super excited. As soon as I landed, I met some of the boys. They’re so welcoming. It was a great time to land a few great faces to come and see me straight up,” he said.

“I went back to the hotel after I got drafted, you look around and you’re actually wearing an AFL top. It’s super surreal and it’s just amazing. It’s been a dream for me and the rest of the draftees that have been drafted too. I was lucky enough to come with two draftees today. They’re a great bunch of boys and I’m keen to meet the other ones.”
Harvey Johnston and Archer Reid were both on the flight with the number one pick. They will start training with their new teammates next week.
Reid already has heroes at the club.

“I was a Geelong man so I’ve always loved Tim Kelly and Jamaine Jones when they went through Geelong,” he said.

The rest is just re-hash and dockers rubbish
