The main difference is the lack of Freo players there to welcome Simpson
Allen, Yeo, Burgiel, Duggan and Maric rolled up to greet our recruits
And Duggan stayed to meet Rawlinson who arrived afterwards from SA

Remember that windy night game vs Hawks when Nic Nat debuted . I think our club has good down to Earth mentors now . We didn't waste a disaster when the Drug culture turnaround was the catalyst to build a great club . A whole generation has passed . Nic Nat , Bunga , Boots Jk etc. Harley will be fine and as for Jealousy I reckon our other young ones will be pleased that they are not under the spotlight .

And Pav was only there because he was on the same flight
Done that with the last few drafts of having players waiting at the airport (Maric and Culley) to greet the new recruits. Club has got a lot of things wrong the last few years but at least they have got that right to build a good bond amongst the playing group.
