Toast Welcome Lewis Jetta

I'm on the record as saying I never wanted him, as did many others on this forum. I thought his best football was well behind him and after his spear chucking antics last year he gave me the impression he was as big a flog as Goodes. The final insult is that his arrival would've played at least a part in the departure of a great servant who'd just played a brilliant final against the eventual premiers. Send the lazy complacent chicken shit pretender to the WAFL and don't let him back until his attitude improves.

I agree with those saying that Jetta could use a good dropping but at the same time it took Wellingham a season here (for various reasons of course) to capture his best form for the club. I'll back Jetta to come back and make an impact sooner rather than later.

That's a fair point, but i think Wellingham's poor start to his WCE career was more due to injury.

It took Wellingham 2 seasons and was dropped twice if I remember and then injury in the wafl finished his season in 2014 .
Jetta deserves to be dropped he just doesn't work hard enough .
We can see how he responds in the wafl before we get too far into the season .

The reality is Jetta has been crap for years now....years.

We aren't talking about a Des Headland type scenario with a bloke coming home after a couple of great breakout years looking like a gun at the Lions, only to THEN turn/get turned into a soft, downhill skiing, contact phobic spud.....Jetta has come in with his best footy (as sporadic and short a period as it was) well and truly behind him.....and rather than looking reenergised by the move, keen to embrace a new opportunity with the team he supported and one of last years grand finalists etc....straight off the bat he has looked lazy, and whilst always a soft outside player keen to avoid the contest, it appears he is now so pathologically frightened of recieving physical contact, that the fear of taking a hit has left him paralysed and inert and entirely unable to function in his role as a so called professional athlete.

As far as I'm concerned, Jetta is likely now done after today...as in done done. For a bloke who relies on confidence as much as he does, he can't possibly come back from that....packed Skilled stadium, opposition and teammates, millions at home watching on tv - including family no doubt, all watching him turn in possibly the laziest, most soft, cowardly, gutless, shameful performance on an AFL footy field in living memory.

Seen plenty of blokes avoiding contests/pull out of contests/pulling out of marking contests, or exhibiting fear in there body language....but nothing like today. It was trainwreck tv....watching an allegedly elite AFL footballer spend two hours deliberately avoiding physical contact...and not too protect an injury, but because he was simply scared of getting hit.

Yeah he won't came back from that.

**** that, I'm getting behind him.

C'mon Lewis, prove us all wrong and come back stronger.

Did Jetta steal your lunch money CitizenU?

You're putting in way too much effort into this. Almost like you're convincing yourself?

Definitely needs to be dropped. That's all that needs to be said.

I'll back him to bounce back.

Nah still have my lunch money.

Just found yesterday massively disappointing to see...the garbage we saw served up from Jetta yesterday was anathema to everything our footy club has come to stand for....so sad to see a bloke behaving in such a manner whilst wearing the same jumper as John Worsfold did.

Just not acceptable stuff on a whole heap of levels

What do you mean by years - from memory in 2012 Jetta was playing top football for Sydney. Not that long ago.

The thing is, we have a reasonably fit squad, so there's no reason to play spuds like Jetta right now.

We basically play a player down.

Add LeCras, priddis, and emac and that's 4 players we can't afford to carry for a whole game.

Need to drop Jetts and some one else to give ourselves a chance.

The Fremantle game Jetta played well and helped finish the game off for a win, unfortunately hasn't progressed forward since then . Maybe trying to hard and nothing is going his way atm .

Jetta will play this week is the vibe i'm sensing !!

Is in footy champ.

Unless a serious injury is involved, three years of largely uncontested, non performing crud is an amazingly generous period of time.

Maybe trying too hard?

You are joking right?

Seen council workers holding stop/go signs go harder than Jetta did yesterday.

Got no time for those who squib the contest. Off to the WAFL and i don't care how many possessions or goals he gets there he doesn't come back until he is willing to hit the contest hard and work for second and third efforts.

If only we could merge priddis and jetta and take the best bits of each. It'd be like taking judd at his peak and adding dean kemps kicking skills.

He was a digrace to the jumper yesterday - id rather paddy mcgoo out there getting just as few possies but at least going hard

Paddy the honey badger puts his head over the ball and goes in hard without a sideways look, and bleeds blue and gold. Jetta is too busy looking sideways and gets himself lost.

Simmo needs to be bold, he got a bit of flack for playing him this week for playing him. Tell jetta that he isntnt welcome back till his work rate improves and over a few weeks. Jetta is one of those players that will dominate wafl without even getting off second gear. What pisses me off me more is the lack of depth thats not pushing guys like jetta off the b22.
