Toast Welcome Lewis Jetta

Oh well, setting the bloke up for a hell of a night when he turns in another lazy, cowardly disgrace of an 'effort' on the weekend.

Crowd will arc up.

Won't be as simple as sending him back to East Perth to get a kick at that point I suspect....will have to find him first.

Get the roadblocks and stinger chains set up on Brand Highway now would be my advice.

Scoe on 7 saying Jetta is an important part of the team. Drop Scoe. What is Jetta important for - tackle coach??

I refuse to spell his name correctly after that
yeah he is definitly gonna come out and say that one of his teammates is stinking it up and should be dropped. Behind closed doors him and the rest of the players are probably letting jetta know of the thoughts his performances so far.

Careful.

Wouldn't want mentor Goodsey reading that....think we can all guess what his interpretation of such behaviour would likely be.

All I can say is this clown chucked a 'spear' at us last year...what the hell were we even thinking putting him in a West Coast Eagles jumper???

Kind of brought this all upon ourselves I'm afraid.

Simpson was on 7 just then and asked about dropping Jetta. He said they haven't talked about selection yet but will look at it. Could still be dropped then. I wouldn't bother listening to what Schofield said its just sticking up for the team rubbish.

Talks cheap. Jetts will play. Simmo won't rock jetts fragile boat

"His forms been patchy, I think even Lewis might admit that. But I've got no problem with his effort..." JS.

Well.. at least he's trying. [and anyone can see that, o_O] Not much more you can ask of your teammate but that he's trying his hardest.

Boys are happy to back him in. Not surprisingly more than a few of them are modelling their game and intensity on this most essential of trades. Can't win a Premiership without him after all. Apparently.

I'm kidding around a bit, but the more you think about it...it's not that crazy really...

Jetta gets dropped to the 2s...does bugger all there for the next 6 weeks and ends up going walkabout - can see Goodes getting involved and making it about race.

Jetta gets some cold hard truths from his teammates behind closed doors regarding expectations and the need for more effort and commitment - can see Jetta cracking it and sending Goodes a txt filling him in on the situation...as mentioned, his likely interpretation of events is fairly predictable...as would be his eagerness to bring in the media.

Jetta gets played this weekend...turns in another effort like Saturday, the crowd let's him know about it...the media presses the West Coast Racists button again, Goodes predictably gets involved...enough subsequent moral grandstanding and self righteousness to sink a battleship.

Either one of those scenarios isn't entirely nuts. It really isn't.

Why the hell did we recruit this bloke?.

His goal was pretty good.
Tell ya what I don't like, seeing a player fail in the backline and thinking, Jetta... but its bloody Josh Hill. Who decided he should be around our last line of defense.

Some fairly caustic comments going on here. When you've finished with Jetta why don't you go after Lecras. He's been as weak as p*ss, and is a complete flop in big games, and then who maybe Mackenzie, Wellingham, oh you've already done him and then he became a crucial player and now he's sh*te again.

Lecca at least has some runs on the board...out of form, but I would back him to turn it around before Jetta.

E-Mac....you know he is coming off a full knee reconstruction last year right? Give him time, he will come good. Also more points in the bank.

Wellingham....out of form yes, but has proven he is able to dig himself out of a hole in the past. Also confident, he will do it again.

Jetta had been done for at least a couple of years at Sydney, and let's be honest hadn't consistently shown that much prior to that. How many years of good footy did the guy actually play?

So Jetta takes a seat first.

Indefinitely as far as I'm concerned.

If he chooses to spit the dummy and do an Ash Sampi, good luck to him....tail doesn't wag the dog at our footy club. If that's even a sliver of the reasoning behind Jetta staying up this week, it's an utter disgrace.

It all starts with commitment and effort...so ultimately the remaining under the pump individuals given another chance to pull on the jumper, will have a big say in whether they will be the one to go after that.

You're melting at your own made up scenario

You seem to have an irrational hatred of Lewis Jetta.

It wasn't because of Jetta that we lost to Geelong. He didn't have a good game but he certainly wasn't friendless. I am in the process of rewatching the game and have re-watched the first half. Jetta was involved in the scoring chains of two of the five first half goals. In the first he did a brilliant tap which wouldn't appear in the stats and in the second he did a great long kick to Kennedy.

He is an outside player. Before we had outside players we used to complain that we didn't have any, we only had inside triers with no polish. From what I see Lecras, Masten, Gaff all avoid contests. Even Shuey is not that keen. So what do you want, McGinnity or Jetta? I know who I would take. Actually McGinnity is not all that brave, I remember him sh*tting himself in the goalsquare trying and failing to take a long high mark against Collingwood.

Last year when we played Sydney Jetta must have been close to their best player. If he was as bad as you (and others) say for Sydney why did they play him? The only answer to this question is that you are overplaying his poor form. I cannot see Longmire playing a guy for two years who wasn't contributing. If you have an answer to the contrary please enlighten me.

I suggest that along with Adam Simpson and the club you extend Lewis some patience. Redden is not playing that great, Yeo is the invisible man on the road etc etc if you want to go for a player that's easy but we aren't losing away games because of Lewis Jetta, the problems are much bigger than just him.

You're melting at your own made up scenario

Well seriously....how the hell can Jetta get a run this week after Saturday?

After how bad he was. It was grotesque.

Justify it Clef...what possible reason can you see for him to hold his spot this week?

Because from where I'm sitting, as bad as it sounds, it's hard not to see a bit of molly coddling for fear of someone buggering off in search of turtle going on.

If joe average non indigenous bloke wearing an Eagles jumper born and raised in Duncraig, turned in that insipid tripe...on top of the previous weeks of slightly less insipid tripe...do you think they would hesitate to pull the trigger on sending him down the WAFL?

Not for even half a second would be my suggestion.

Most of the team was "grotesque"

Why are you continuing to fuel this thread any further?

He was and has been woeful. We all agree he should be dropped.

Do you need to go on & on?
