Irish medical system pays a fair bit less than what junior docs here in Australia get though, and working conditions far worse (based on what my Irish colleague tell me anyway). Horror stories about how they would have to manage a busy ED with only a few cubicles as a second year resident and the consultant (specialist) being unapproachable...

He explained it was a tear, not a strain (so not 3 weeks) but even so he was positive because he doesnt have a history of soft tissue injuries. Actually, had never had a strain before, which I figurE has got to count for something.

Could he get credit transfers to continue in Australia? Or would he have to start from scratch?
Sounds a lot like Randall Bone from Adelaide in the 90's who was studying medicine whilst playing. I think he was the one who first treated Ryan Burton, when he had his leg injury.

medicine the same most countries so id imagine could get some credit
as apposed to law where legal systems vary entirely between man countries

Can be hard as many Australian medical courses (all those in vic I think) are post graduate, I'm unsure if Irish is undergraduate
