Struck a nerve did I? And then we awake to Lewis being sounded out by Melbourne no doubt for family and coaching reasons. #FamilyClub
Why exactly are you here?

Think before you answer...

Anyone else concerned that this is only an "in principle" agreement? I understand that the late pick swap is not quite possible until a little more unfolds but geez I wouldn't put it past Sydney to do something dodgy later. I'll sleep easy when the deal is processed.

They wanted it known that they possessed pick 14; they want to trade down the order with it.

Yes Clarko wrighty and I have been doing a lot of research
We scoured the Swans board all last weekend as we know it's the best source of information on the state of our clubs playing list
We were sitting by the fireplace at Clarkos place When I opened another bottle of Grace and wrighty read something Tedeski had written and he said my eyes have been opened, our playing list is totally sh!t we need to trade some players out

Clarko and I confirmed it with information we'd gleaned from chunkychicken who only seems to rate Smithy as its been his avatar for a few weeks now

So that's what we've been doing all week - all stock must go

I said we have to keep Hodgey so he and smithy are staying but seriously everyone else is up for grabs to the right bidder

We are happy to trade with you later in the week too

Haha, you're a legend! Funny guy, always welcome on the Swans board. :)

One thing im slightly peeved about with the whole one Mitchell IN, one Mitchell OUT drama over the last few days is that i feel like its robbed me of the chance to really enjoy the fact that we got this guy.

This Mitchell would absolutely get a game at every other club.

Consistently elite accumulator, composed, excellent in tight with his hands and ability to rack up the tackles. Goal kicker from the midfield.

Elite, elite, elite, elite, elite all day.

Best part is that he still has room to improve.

Gun.

Yeah agreed, once the dust settles and we see T Mitchell on the track for us I'll be excited but for now it isn't as enjoyable as other trades have been because of what we're losing.

And how many loyal $wines players have had to go elsewhere because of your dual mercenaries in Tippett and Franklin? But please, give us more lecturing on list management and loyalty. Don't you agree, Nick?

No matter which stat you look at, we welcome in an absolute gun. Big game perfromer. Fearless. Clever and tough.

People can harp on about the trading period, but remove the noise and realise we are blessed to have Tom play for our club.

With all that's happened this week we seem to have forgotten about this kid. He's on the verge of becoming an a-grade midfielder. At only 23 he has plenty of improvement still to come. He's a player who I believe that will have an immediate impact straight away and possibly finish high up in our best & fairest in 2017 and should feature prominently in the Brownlow medal voting as well.

Some of Toms best games in 2016

Round 1 vs Collingwood: 30 disposals (9 contested) - 2 marks - 9 tackles - 3 clearances - 4 inside 50s - 3 goals
Round 2 vs Carlton: 34 disposals (13 contested) - 8 marks - 9 tackles - 8 clearances - 8 inside 50s
Round 3 vs GWS: 25 disposals (8 contested) - 3 marks - 7 tackles - 7 inside 50s - 1 goal
Round 6 vs Brisbane: 28 disposals (13 contested) - 5 marks - 6 tackles - 6 clearances - 5 inside 50s
Round 7 vs Essendon: 37 disposals - 10 marks - 9 inside 50s
Round 10 vs NM: 41 disposals (17 contested) - 8 marks - 10 tackles - 5 clearances - 3 inside 50s - 1 goal
Round 11 vs GC: 33 disposals (20 contested) - 14 tackles - 6 clearances - 3 inside 50s - 1 goal
Round 16 vs Geelong: 33 disposals (21 contested) - 6 tackles - 6 clearances
Round 17 vs Hawthorn: 34 disposals (14 contested) - 4 marks - 6 tackles - 3 clearances
Round 20 vs Port Adelaide: 32 disposals (10 contested) - 9 marks - 7 tackles - 3 clearances - 5 inside 50s - 1 goal
Round 22 vs NM: 30 disposals (18 contested) - 4 marks - 4 tackles - 6 clearances
Round 23 vs Richmond: 34 disposals (14 contested) - 9 marks - 7 tackles - 3 clearances - 5 inside 50s - 1 goal
Semi Final vs Adelaide: 32 disposals (12 contested) - 6 tackles - 6 clearances - 6 inside 50s - 1 goal
Prelim Final vs Geelong: 27 disposals (19 contested) - 6 tackles - 4 clearances
Grand Final vs WB: 26 disposals (10 contested) - 4 marks - 13 tackles - 3 inside 50s - 2 goals

Absolute gun, criminally under rated in the competition.

You'll hear haters spread crap that he was the swans 5th best midfielder but on Grand Final day when it realy counted not only was he the Swans 2nd best midfielder but also 2nd best player.

He is a ball magnet, tough and hard, wins contested ball but most importantly has great awareness and goal sense. Goal kicking midfielders are worth their weight in gold!

With Sam and Jordan gone should poll a lot of Brownlow votes, currently at $51.
