I went to a private school that produced a few AFL players.
Back in the day we’d play in the Sun Shield, so we had to play against the local high schools to start off., I thought these kids would bash us up.
By god we’d hand out some thrashing’s lol.
Then I figured out genetics are a key. Losers are always going to be all talk losers.
What are you saying? Those who go to Private School have better genetics?

I was young, intimidated by the fake tough guys, then I learned.
Not a call on all obviously, but losers do produce, generally with other losers.

The private schools have impeccably maintained footy ovals and former AFL players as coaches. The state schools have dead weed patches and Mr Jones the maths teacher who played ressies. Private schools pour a lot of money into their footy teams that state schools just don’t have.

Good indication that it never achieved anything in its life, if it derives its false sense of superiority from where it went to school.
Also just love that Godwin's Law has applied even to the "Welcome to the Bulldogs Sam Darcy" thread.
At least most who come out of the private schooling system thinking that way tend to grow out of it pretty quickly. Not all it would seem though.

This sort of attitude is just so depressing, because a lot of our politicians harbour these same views. It would help many people if there was a modicum of self awareness regarding the privilege and advantage that most people don’t have in life. Geelong College don’t have scholarship players, how do they travel? Where do most of the scholarship players come from, prior to being siphoned up? That attitude is just horrid
Maybe, you openly hate private schoolboys though. We aren’t that different to you lot.
Don’t private schools offer scholarships for kids talented in football? I am not sure but this would account for getting better results over schools that don’t “ buy” success. ( plus the already mentioned AFL experienced coaches and facilities)
