To Tassie Supporters/Posters and Other Visitors To The Board

On registration you agreed to not use the forum to submit or link to any Content which is:

• defamatory,
• hateful,
• threatening,
• abusive,
• spam or spam-like,
• likely to offend,
• contains adult or objectionable content,
• contains personal information of others,
• risks copyright infringement,
• encourages unlawful activity,
• or otherwise violates any laws.

Opposition Supporters

Supporters of any and all clubs are welcome to post here provided that you respect our rules.

If you're here to engage in genuine discussion, offer different perspectives and engage in some friendly banter you should have no issues.

If you're here to be a pest, troll, gloat and generally be annoying then you can expect to be infracted or removed from the board if you're a repeat offender.

Beware that this is the Tasmanian Team board and visitors will not necessarily receive the same right of reply as Tassie posters. It would be unwise to choose this as the place to settle a score with a member of this board.

Respecting Other Members

1. No Harming or Threatening To Harm Others - doxxing, stalking, threatening others with violence or other forms of real-world harm is absolutely unacceptable and will be met with severe repercussions including Permanent Account Ban.

2. No Personal Abuse - you're entitled to your own opinion, please respect that others are too even if they differ to yours. Robust discussion and passionate debate are always encouraged, but ensure that you're addressing the contents of the post and the arguments made. Character attacks, ad hominems, insults, slurs, namecalling, profanity-laden torrents of vitriol etc. are not allowed. If you've got a serious personality clash with another member and you can't engage civilly we recommend popping them on the 'IGNORE' list and engaging with others.

3. No Derogatory or Vulgar Material - this site is to be family-friendly and welcoming of people from all walks of life. Content that is degrading people based on race, sex, sexual orientation, cultural & religious backgrounds etc. will not be allowed. NSFW content is also strictly forbidden.

Legal Issues

4. Rumours - although AFL players are public figures, rumours regarding their private lives should not be circulated. Even if you can substantiate those rumours, we will not go to the trouble of verifying. As a blanket policy, if we see anything even with the potential to land Bigfooty in legal trouble, the posts will be deleted.

5. Torrents & Illegal Streams - No torrents or illegal streams are allowed to be POSTED or REQUESTED.

6. Copyright & News Articles - We can't produce articles from news outlets in full without permission. Either link it directly to the source or summarise its contents in your own words.

Other Matters

7. Staying On Topic

• The purpose of the board is to discuss matters relating to the Tasmanian Football Club, the AFL or the sport of Aussie Rules Football.
• We have boards for other matters like those relating to other sports or social/politics/religion and moderators reserve the right to move posts where appropriate.
• If the discussion within a thread deviates away from the original topic of a thread we may move the posts to a more relevant thread on the board without warning.
• Multiple threads discussing the same topic will be merged into a single thread.
• Intentionally derailing threads may result in threadbans.

8. Spam - Posts with the purpose of redirecting people to external sites will not be allowed. If you wish to promote your own site you will need to seek express permission from site admin. If you wish to post content from your site you may still do so by either copying a blog, article etc. and posting it in full on the forum or embedding video or audio material from the site directly onto the forum.

9. Quoting From Other Boards - No quoting (or tagging) users from other boards to this board for the purpose of provoking people from other communities.

10. Moderation Issues - If you take issue with the board's moderation take it up in PM. General questions and requests for clarification can be allowed, but going on a public whining campaign will only likely get you an infraction.

11. Retaliation & Escalation - If you see content being posted on the board please report the post instead of responding and escalating the issue. e.g. another user posting abusive content does not give you carte blanche to also be abusive. If you're contributing to escalating an issue you may also be subject to warnings and infractions at the discretion of the moderators.

I’d like to remind everyone that this is the Tasmanian CLUB Board, and like all club boards on Bigfooty it is for the supporters of this team to come together and talk in peace and in their own space.

We have threads on the Mainboard and SRP for other supporters to argue the rights and wrongs or discuss the politics of the Stadium or the team.
Don’t come here to stir up arguements.
