She's got some good mates around her now, and she seems like the type to enjoy the challenge of taking an entire club by the scruff of the neck for the next bunch of years and dragging it up the ladder behind her. And like I've said, the list after the '24 and '25 drafts is going to fill up fast with scary-talented kids, and she'll be their leader, the one they look up to and try to emulate (after Swanny and Hooks, of course, but they're a lot older).
If team management don't completely screw it up, it should be a fun ride.

Seems like Lauren's been working her tail off for this dream, while Zoe just jumped on board recently, so yeah, maybe a little miffed. And also, suspecting that Zoe only got picked because she's her identical twin (true) and is now being set up for disappointment. She'll cheer up if Zoe proves her (and everyone else) wrong. No pressure.
I’ve got sisters who are identical twins. You probably have no idea how the think. As a brother, I was considered an outsider.

Jess Low should have been picked up ages ago. It was ridiculous that she was left off lists with her talent and penchant for hard work. I’m so glad she finally got picked up and has taken her opportunity and made the most of it. Stoked for her.
Agreed. Hope she stays and is a big part of West Coast rising up the ladder.

Anjelique Raison is looking pretty good for next year too for whoever gets her. And I reckon Taya Chambers is the most underrated of the top '24 draft class kids, 16 disposals for the game, 12 at half time, plus some big marks. (I watched the first half on Streamer). She's Ella Roberts-sized and nearly as fast, great kick too, just needs some more muscle. Would love to see her on the ball for a season.

So long as our gameplan has lots of running, instead of long kicking to contests like last year, I'll be happy whatever the result. Speed's about the only thing we've got, especially with Ella in the team.
Meanwhile, Rogers Cup GF, Alicia Blizard; 14 years old, 4 goals. Look out.

Needs to find a left foot but plenty of time yet. Never seen a female tall also that agile before, at any age. Only ones in the same class are Wolmarans and Alira Fotu -- the WA '25 draft. It'll be nuts.

Alira Fotu looks like primed to clunk contested marks in the F50 and kick goals. Her overhead contested game from what little i have seen so far is exciting.
I would be ok getting Laura Catherine as a supplementary player

She destroyed everyone in the Medleys vs Woomeras U16 game a few months back. I saw the live feed (AFLW geniuses don't make replays available) it was like watching an adult vs kids, 3 goals, obvious BOG, she was dominating everywhere from goalsquare to center to wing. So Blizard and Fotu are better than any other tall juniors I've seen, and by a margin... but then Olivia Wolmarans might be better than both of them. It's crazy.
Can hit targets too, I agree. Probably can't hold a spot once we get Wakfer and Cleaver, but would be depth at least.

The AFLW plan is a full time competition by 2026. I doubt that'll include enough money for draft picks to make it a national draft. It would suck to just get the WA talent production humming and immediately lose exclusivity. Either way I think there'll be a lot of Eastern States talent scouts crossing the Nullabor in the next few years, Eagles and Dockers will quickly be struggling to fit them all in.
