I don't think Sale can stay at the top with the amount leaving. they didn't have a real strong seconds last year so the depth will be tested. sale will still have a strong midfield but just not the depth.

maffra have recruited well and don't forget they had a year from hell last year with injuries and disruptions. trarlgon have recruited well so watch out them Morwell have also lost a few. The big worries is how can a Major league have a side in it without Seconds and Thirds. Garfield should be made to pay back all the money the other sides have invested in them since they came into the league. They are a joke. they don't want to be in the league so why bother playing them.

I hear the Bye have some good juniors coming through and are pretty keen to get off the bottom this season. They are hoping if they can keep their juniors together and recruit a bit in the coming off season, they may even overtake the Leongatha next year.

The Easter Weekend, ANZAC day, and the split round all think they are a chance for win. They believe that Garfield still won't kick a winning score against them. In fact the WGLFL have decided that because garfield can only supply 2 games of football they will play there games at half-time of the match of the round.

I do know of all the happenings at sale and to be honest it has been a great thing for the club. all the old blokes are out. the only two real losses are Kane Martin And Phil Harris. Ivy, B martin were hopeless last year and anderson was just ok. Sale have got good new players comin in and younger players have devloped, they have a very young and quick side and yet again everyone is puttin them down like they did last year. but wat happened last year?

Yeah, your right there. Anderson was just ok last year, oh, hang on, didn't he win the best on ground in the grand final? Some people seem to put weight on things like being unanimously voted the best player in the only game of the year that people will ever remember. You obviously don't. Anderson was one of the most important components in the Sale gameplan, his disposal is first class, and he always gets himself to where the next contest is going to be, as the playmaker across half back.

Got any other facts and figures to support your argument that Ivey and Martin were no good? Ivey was the leading goal kicker in the league until he got injured late in the year and missed the last couple of rounds. At half time, most people at the game had Anderson and Ivey as the clear stand outs as best players on the ground.

B Martin may have been slightly hot and cold at times last year, but, his performance in the grand final was pretty damn good, not sure whether you went to the grand final, you were probably on the net surfing pr0n instead, but, the goal that he kicked in front of "The Deck" was a fair team lifter at a time when Sale really needed something. If memory serves me correctly, he kicked 4 goals in the grand final, and 9 in the losing grand final from the year before. He has been in the top 5 goal kickers in the league for the past 5 seasons. I'd much rather have him in the side than not.

Leongatha playing Sale this weekend...both teams will still have a fair few out so wont be able to read much into it, be interesting to see if a bloke in an elmo suit is there on the weekend as the mascot

Ivey wrecking team morale. Very true i guess. His 4 Premireships at Heyfield, 1 Premireship at Cowwar and 1 premireship at Sale is a true sign that he wrecks team morale. I thought you couldn't win Premireships with bad team morale. The club will say how great it is that he has left but why were they so dirty in him leaving? He did make your young kids walk a little taller than they did in previous years. Him and Cox had boddies that allowed your kids to feel safe.
Sounds to me that your a bloke who missed out on a game last year for sale and are now very happy that 10 players have left so you can now play. If you played seniors last year you would be very worried that so many have left.
Leeds, Quirk, Sweeney, Wallace and Garrett instead of Martin, Anderson, Martin, Todd, McLinden, Shingles, Aurisch, Harris, B.Hudson, J.Cox, Glenae. The point about your leadership group is valid except 2 of them shopped themseleves around in the off season before resigning for more money, Great Leadership!!!
Last question are you a player at Sale or the runner? Lime green elmo sounds like someone that wears the running uniform. I don't believe sale will struggle that much this year as my previous predictions show but to say the club is happy loosing these players is not right. The club stood up and pleaded for every player to resign last year at presentation night so i don't think that 5 months later they would be happy.
maybe that left resigning players a little compared to other clubs and are now blaming others fo there lose.
On a positive watch Tom Hames to be a very good player this year for the mighty magpies and if you have a spare $100 put it on him to win the past players MVP award. They love young left footed kids who have some heart. remeber Rusty McAdam!

Its funny how you say that Stu was good in the grand final, yet, just ok during the year, he finished in the top 3 in the b&f and 8th in the league b&f (had to look this up on the net) and he missed 5 games. You must have high expectations of the Roo if those sort of figures are just ok.

Lets see whether Sale kick enough goals this season without Martin and Ivey in the forward line. All the players that you listed as leaders are midfielders, so, Sale are obviously going to get loads of chances for their forwards to kick goals. Lets see if any of them finish in the top 5 in the league goal kicking like Marto and Poison did.

It was disappointing to see the seconds drop away from the finals after three years of 4th, premierss, 3rd. this was coached by a bloke you don't rate (Henderson). You will come to realise over time, that bagging out the ones who have come before you will get you no where. i'm not hung up over missing the grand final. I didn't deserve to play in the grand final last year i was lucky enough to get a crack in the semi against morwell at leongatha. I only got a game then coz rusty pulled out wit illness... There were players that missed out on the grand final that were more deserving then me like aurish and hogan...
It does hurt to miss out but wen u get replaced by someone as good as rusty you understand why you were dropped.. i don't have any hatred against ivy coz he took my place.. he's a forward and i'm a midfielder. i was grateful after the grand final that all the boys that played took me in and let me celebrate with them. i don't Dislike any of these boys i just fired up when everyone keeps puttin them down and saying all the players leaving will make sale crap. true, the players comin in don't have the high market names but they are still good footballers and this year sale is young and quick and i do reckon they will go alright. Hendo i just joined in wit me mates for abit of fun the other day and i do believe ur doing a good job at straty. they were good in the first quarter against heytown and its a good improvement from past years. need to mow your ground abit though, near the pocket.

As for the grass - the rumour is the mower broke but the truth is i wanted it long down there so everyone else will slow to my pace! The ball would sit up and i wouldn't have to bend as far.
