What are you most worried about for your team in 2025?

Simple question, what are you most worried about for your team in the 2025 season, what are some weaknesses that could be exposed, or even a worst case scenario for your club?

For the Swans I am most worried about our backline. We have McCartin who is talented but he has his own concussion issues as he got a concussion in the 2022 season and was out for around 5 weeks. I worry about him going forward if he gets another one and without McCartin then Melican is our main key defender and I genuinely don't know who comes in to be our second key defender as no one has really stood out so far and we didn't really recruit a key defender in the trade period or draft, so I think our key defensive stocks are potentially a real weakness if we get even one injury to either McCartin or Melican.

Of course I also worry about the fallout to the bad 2024 Grand Final as historically clubs that have very poor Grand Finals struggle a bit the next year but I think now we have a new coach that might not be as big a factor as the new voice will change things. I am still worried about it though.

Also worry about our clearances as typically Longmire didn't value them much, meaning he let the opposition have way to much easy ball our of the clearances which really hurt us in important games, but I hope being a former ruckman Cox will value clearances a bit more, but it is not guaranteed.

Key forwards. Chol, Dear and Gunston until Lewis comes back with untested depth beneath that. Does Chol become flaky like his 2nd year at GC, can Dear cope with more expectations and attention from defenders and can Gunston not drop off from the 2nd half of this year's level? Sicily could go forward but will he be an effective full time forward or just someone you can pinch hit down there

Other than just the usual injuries hitting at the wrong time like Day and Mackenzie's this year

He has left a huge hole in our forward line and as a backup ruck. We should be stronger in other areas with the return of some players such as Coleman, McCarthy and the incoming L Ashcroft but none of those guys play the same role.

Strategic direction of the list build.

Geelong's upcoming weak points have usually been pretty obvious years out and it has made the strategy pretty easy to back. 2017-2020 use of slow ball movement to get the backline turned over. 2019-2024 transitioning the forward line and speeding ball movement back up. 2023-now turning over the midfield.

Right now we've started overlap of tall and project defenders with the need for elite mids. I think we have two more drafts to add the mids we need before the clock stops and we need defenders in earnest.

So the mids need to show improvement or we compromise the years available before we look at defenders
