What do AFL players use to see how far they have ran throughout a game?

I would guess that they use a pedometer, but I was wondering where to buy one and which one to buy. The same type as the AFL players use.

A pedometer tracks number of steps. I'd bet they are using some sort of GPS device.

There are (free) apps available that can trace your running path, distance, speeds via GPS. MapMyWalk is one to consider.

You'll notice on the very upper back of every player (or at least the majority) there is a little bump in the players guernsey. I have always assumed that is a GPS.

Are you looking at specifically tracking yourself during a game?
