What past/current AFL/VFL grounds have you had a kick on?

who the hell do you think you are mate. coming on this site and abusing the feilds which made AFL in to what it is today. sure, those grounds may not have had the maintenace and care for them which the MCG has but they played an integral part in developing the game as we know it. Unfortunately it is people like you who cause the premature closure of such fields. i now call upon my fellow supporters to come together in this time of need and share with us your thoughts in regards to this $#!% #ol3

Look mate, they were in top nick back in their heyday, but they're dumps now. I love the old suburban grounds, but facts are facts and most of them (condition wise) are a dump. The AFL should norture them with more care, therefore, not letting them rot away after time like they have done.

While i do agree with what you are saying that the grounds with all the history and all that sure that great but i hope you were only mucking around because if someone can get that fired up over footy ovals then they need to have a good hard look at their priorities in life. Lighten up mate.

When I was in the St Johns Ambulance Brigade as a little tacker we used to sit on the ground on those 'worksafe' benches that used to be on the grounds and after the games we usually had a kick. Was hard to do that at Waverly given the buses left like 15mins after the game and if you missed the buses you were stuck in Nowhereville.
The good ole days, I remember meeting Sheedy before a final and he seemed upset when I said I was a North supporter. I am sure he got over it. Met quite a few coaches through that actually, was a good experience for a young kid.

On Topic, I've played on Victoria Park and Arden Street.
Vic park seemed to be higher in the middle. I played in the ruck all match and was absolutely buggered by the end. The opposition ruck gave up and they were playing their little blokes against me and they were winning the tap cos I couldn't get off the ground
Legs were futterly ucked.

I had a long muck around on Victoria Park in 2003 with my mate. Reincarnating famous deeds done by Magpies past...it was a great morning.
Also at Waverley in 1997 and 1998. A great surface. I recall hearing massive thumps of people's shoes thwacking the ball right after the second siren.
I have a kick on the MCG once or twice a week, depending on where the Pies are playing.
Also on Glenferrie.

AAMI stadium when it was know as Footy Park. I also went on one of the non major ovals in Melbourne can't think of the name.
