To all those suggesting a first round pick (and my goodness, there are a lot of you) I ask this simple question:
Have you ever actually watched him play?

And now for something completely different, I think he is the sort of player that Paul Roos would be interested in picking up for his Melbourne rebuild.
Haven't heard anyone else suggest this but Melbourne should have the pick(s) and cap space (given that he signed a long term deal at Carlton and they will have to contribute to his salary) to accommodate Gibbs.

I don't want us too get Gibbs at all, even if danger leaves.

Our midfield is fine even with crouch inured atm, we will 100% spend our first round pick on Aish so your "plan" is irrelevant.

M.crouch, grigg and Lyons can't get games either so we won't be going after Gibbs.
I think your account has been hacked. Someone posting under your profile name in a Aish thread posted if Adelaide lose Danger they should go hard at Carlton to get Gibbs or Yarran.

Only met his potential at contract time last year. Now that his future is secure he's reverted to coasting. That's poisonous and I'm glad we dodged a bullet on giving him 700k as a FA.

If we're giving up our first for anyone it'll be for James Aish.

Melbourne should have the pick? Every club gets draft picks every year. Melbourne won't be trading our top pick for him.

He would be best suited for a club at the top who wants to add some midfield depth.

Gibbs not going anywhere Murphy not going anywhere Kreuzer not going anywhere Henderson not going anywhere

Buckley, Menzel, Cripps, Murphy, Gibbs, Kreuzer, Henderson, Jaksch, Simpson not going anywhere

Judd, Carrazzo look like theyre going to retire end of year which will free up 600-800k on salary cap

Offers for Jamison, Walker, Yarran, Tuohy, Curnow, Casboult,

On talent he'd definitely be worth a early first round pick, on effort he'd be dropped back to a 2nd or multiple 3rd round picks.

He is exactly the sort of player Carlton should trade for picks though as he's worth more to other clubs than he is to Carlton's immediate and long-term future..

We will trade Yarran - maybe because Docherty and Buckley will go past him maybe.

Maybe needs to play on forward line but Gibbs will never be traded

If Blues trade Bryce would be to a club I think would be best suited to that has currency.
Maybe Bulldogs IMO, build up midfield depth and play around the ground

Gibbs to Dogs for exchange of picks, not sure. Maybe few other clubs but last few weeks I'm really not sure if want to keep him at Blues, after having excellent season last year
Maybe Bryce and 4th Round pick for 1st Round, not sure. Even possible trade to GWS, they are never short on having picks to trade off
